Wow, ps5 didn't jump much. I thought Rebirth would have done more. The ps5 situation is odd.

Edit

Granted I hope rebirth does meh, so square stops their stupid exclusive crap.  Should be day 1 on pc.

hope lessons learned, Square Enix, FF has to be released in multiplatform

Probably last time Square Enix plans a big exclusive (even if timed) for the Play station

I remember FF7 Rebirth digitally was offered including FF7 Remake for the same price as a physical copy of FF7 Rebirth alone. Not sure if that offer was also in Japan. If so it could have impacted physical sales by quite a lot, at least hope so for Square Enix. If not the start is surprisingly low.

If I would own a PS5, I would be tempted to get the digital one for that reason, even though I prefer physical especially for full priced games.

Also Mario vs. DK now over 100K physical. Not to shabby for a GBA remake!

YoY Switch stays up there, but YoY PS5 can't get a break.

And way to go 3DS, 33% up from last week!!!!

Edit: Also just noticed the Yen price of Rebirth. Wowzy that's quite a big difference to the other games on the list.

Oh boy, the numbers on the UK chart weren't feeling so good, but now this is just sad to see them concretized here even further. This is just plain bad for a big exclusive FF title to post these numbers when you've got a much cheaper exclusive DQ spinoff game posting better here.

Of course, for them this is probably more about attracting the western market but c'mon, do they honestly wish to just go down and down in numbers until a mainline FF cannot further than 100K or something ?

Of course it lends me curious to see the digital numbers for this one.

Hardware numbers are interesting. PS5 got a marginal boost because of what just released but couldn't do better than last year. Switch went up and posted better than last year and 2018 ... Just because I guess.

Kinda funny seeing the switch numbers up again when so many on this board were expecting it to be way down this year. I hate to say it, but when the numbers are still beating xbox and ps (i know only in Japan) it probably makes Nintendo a little less likely to jump the gun on launching their new system.
