Act 2 is better than 1

Yeah, the first two acts are brilliant. Act 3 may not be on the same level, but still it is good and not like some suggesting here invalidating the whole game. Act 3 still has great stories in it, I liked for instance the house of hope and the submerged prison for the families of the ones working at the steel guard. I think saying the trhird act is pulling the whole game down is hyperbole. This is a great game, but as every great games it has some flaws, because nothing ever will be perfect.

Act 3 was very fun but overwhelming with so many markers and missions. No exploration and no urgency either. I also didn't enjoy how static companions were. Except by Jaheira they had very few action in the quests, except their own quests of course

But the missions were top tier. House of Hope is one the best moments of the game

I've seen some Zelda fans be extremely disappointed in Tears of the Kingdom from a story perspective... While I cannot disagree, the story was a let down, it is still a masterpiece gameplay wise. Ultra hand is a huge game changer and I've been blown away by what players have come up with. Clocked in 200 hours in the game and still left with plenty to do.

I know Aonuma just said they were done in this version of Hyrule, but I feel like I am not ready to say goodbye to this Link and Zelda just yet.

Tears of the Kingdom is GOTY (for me)

As the tracking is now up to 83 awards we start to get a clearer picture. Three games are basically in the real competition, and Baldur's Gate pulled away among them with 45 awards (more than half of all), Zelda has 20, Alan Wake has 13. By now a lot of games have one award each: Disney Illusion Island, Spiderman 2, Octopath 2, Super Mario Wonder and Sea of Stars. As last year the site tracked nearly 600 awards it is too early to call it for BG3, but it starts to look that way.

Considering the current count ( 376 awards), where BG3 leads with 203, vs Zelda's 74, wouldn't it be time to declare BG3 the winner?
It seems almost impossible for Zelda to surpass BG3.

So yes, at this point it seems to be a stable and sufficient lead. So let's call it: Baldur's Gate 3 wins!

Not disputing the fact that BG3 absolutely smothered TotK…but the count is actually 274 BG3 v. 110 TotK. (https://www.resetera.com/threads/2023-video-game-awards-season-tracking-and-discussion-thread.784544/)
