First time only, huh? I would have picked Metroid Dread then, that one never gets old to me. But okay, I'll go with Bayonetta 3 then.

It's nearly impossible to pick just one.
As far as my replays go, probably Knights of the Old Republic.
As far as new to me games, probably SoulCalibur VI.
As far as ongoing games, I played some of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and a little Stardew Valley.

"Let go your earthly tether, enter the void, empty and become wind." - Guru Laghima
Hard to pick as several are game of year contenders.
Most fun: guardians of the the galaxy ps5
Most immersive and out of world experience: elden ring and returnal
Most epic: gow ragnarok
Most impressive, technical: horizon forbidden west
Runner ups: stray, kena, alan wake remake, cyberpunk
On a side note, tlou remake is a perfect game, but I don't want to include it as it has won a thousand awards already when first released on ps3 and ps4.

Elden Ring, by a country mile. Ngl it wasn't even my most anticipated title this year but it blew away all my expectations. Not spent this much time on RPG outside an MMO in a long time - which says a lot about how much I enjoyed the game.
Vampire Survivors is also up there. Most brand new stuff I've played was either a dissapointment or in the pretty decent list. There are some older titles like Wolfenstein: TNO which was pretty good. And FarCry 3, excellent.
