So no day one Gamepass on Baldur's Gate 3. Damn, I was really hoping that Xbox had decided to go for it to make up for causing a 3+ month late release with their parity clause. $70 is alot to pay for a game, especially a late port. Debating if I should go ahead and grab it or wait for a sale where it drops to like $40-50, but I can't wait too long either because it's a 140 hour game and Dragon's Dogma 2 is coming up in March, I'd ideally like to beat one huge RPG before starting another. I would rent it and wait for a sale but I can't even do that since it didn't get a physical release yet, and the upcoming physical release is limited edition only, so no rental discs most likely. Decisions, decisions.

As successful as the game is, Gamepass was unlikely to happen. If anything they will release Divinity on Gamepass.

More likely to be because it just entered development. Assuming 4-5 years of development time, which is about average for AAA games this generation, we are probably looking at a 2027 or 2028 release, and Xbox will probably release their next console in 2027 or 2028, so it could end up being a next-gen launch title, which is probably why they didn't announce it for Series S/X, they don't want to commit to a cross-gen release only to decide to go next-gen only later and disappoint people.

Considering that Disney allowed Indiana Jones to be Xbox exclusive, I don't see why they wouldn't allow Blade, a much less popular IP than Indiana Jones, to be exclusive.

So, after all the drama about Xbox not getting any GOTY nominations, it ended up getting more awards than PS...

PS got a tv show award though right? LOL.

Yeah, definitely would have been pricey, though it would have been cheaper if they had went for just console gamepass instead of both console and PC gamepass on it, as the vast majority of BG3's sales are on PC (on PS5 I think I saw it didn't even make top 10 for October on the digital charts it's 2nd month, was like #12 as I recall). More lost sales they would need to compensate for putting it on PC gamepass compared to Xbox gamepass.

Could also be the FTC as well why we don't see platforms. Or maybe they just want the conversation and drama. Who knows.

If Spiderman and Wolverine are exclusive, so should blade. Keep that shit off PS, stop being nice.

I don't believe whatsoever that it will be multiplat, If MS renegotiated the deal for Indy then they likely did the same for Blade which isn't one of the bigger Marvel IP's anyway. The leaked emails said that they would keep everything exclusive.

After this announcement MS should try to grab some the other characters like Punisher, Ghost Rider and Moon Knight.

Daredevil would be dope. Was originally rumored that Amy Hennig's studio was doing Daredevil but then it turned out to be Captain America + Black Panther during WW2 instead. So Daredevil should be available.

Maybe put the Activision studio that made Deadpool on it, but give them a higher budget and make it as an open world game where you can explore the entire Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan and maybe the surrounding neighborhoods as well.

I didn't mention Daredevil because Sony might already have the rights to game as he was referenced/easter eggs in Spiderman 2, Also being open world and in NYC would draw comparisons to Insomniacs Spiderman. A gritty and ground action game with Sifu-like combat would be amazing.

I know that these deals were made before Bethesda were acquired but MS/Phil should reconsider their views on licensed IP.

Again Hellblade, and another game added to a long list of games that we will not play for years..... I know xbots laught with the TLoS PT II remaster but I would glad pay 10$ for a Fallout 3/Oblivion/Morrowind remaster instead of having nothing coming up soon...

Happy For Larian, it is great living in a country that bans lootboxes and having a studio that create feature full games with no MTX hope others will learn from Larian.
