So no day one Gamepass on Baldur's Gate 3. Damn, I was really hoping that Xbox had decided to go for it to make up for causing a 3+ month late release with their parity clause. $70 is alot to pay for a game, especially a late port. Debating if I should go ahead and grab it or wait for a sale where it drops to like $40-50, but I can't wait too long either because it's a 140 hour game and Dragon's Dogma 2 is coming up in March, I'd ideally like to beat one huge RPG before starting another. I would rent it and wait for a sale but I can't even do that since it didn't get a physical release yet, and the upcoming physical release is limited edition only, so no rental discs most likely. Decisions, decisions.

As successful as the game is, Gamepass was unlikely to happen. If anything they will release Divinity on Gamepass.

Yeah, definitely would have been pricey, though it would have been cheaper if they had went for just console gamepass instead of both console and PC gamepass on it, as the vast majority of BG3's sales are on PC (on PS5 I think I saw it didn't even make top 10 for October on the digital charts it's 2nd month, was like #12 as I recall). More lost sales they would need to compensate for putting it on PC gamepass compared to Xbox gamepass.
