Right!

More hints:

#20: Father and daughter have an epic fight using the same weapon.
A lot more children of your allies will join your ranks over time.
But first the parents have to fall in love.
This game was kinda resurrecting the series, that seemed in decline and since when we got multiple new entries, the next coming early next year.

Fire Emblem Awakening?

Also right!

Another hint, let's see if this one is enough.

-Moving the statues out of alignment changes the world

-The game is divided into two parts, the dividing line between the two being the moving of the statues mentioned in the previous hint

-The statues represent three goddesses, known as the Warring Triad

-You get to experience sections of the story from various different characters' point of view

-The main cast consists of 14 playable characters, including a treasure hunter, a mime, a mascot, and a rune knight

#19: This game has a tumultous start with a living airship stealing people, getting attacked by dragonriders and switching dimensions, invluding a hellish one involving demons in the battle.
It is still unfinished, yet still deserving of the place. Hopefully we get the finished game in 2023.

I think I got it now: Final Fantasy VI?

That's the one.

Serving up a fresh batch of hints:

20) This game actually has two titular characters, though it's easy to assume it's the same one

19) To be honest I hated the target practice mini-game

18) Joor-Zah-Frul

17) Only one line is uttered in this game's entire story mode

16) Though sales numbers have never been revealed this is probably one of the most profitable games of all-time

YoY: =      My Rating: 9.3/10

I've long since lost track of all the Metroidvania games I've played over the years, from the series that gave the genre its name, to far too many indie games to even count. Out of all of them, Hollow Knight stands as the unquestionable peak of the whole genre in my opinion. Not only is the game visually gorgeous, it has some of the tightest, most engaging gameplay that I've experienced in any 2D Metroidvania. In addition, the setting is wonderfully designed, each location flowing into each other in a way that makes sense and makes the world feel like a place with a past and a culture of its own.

The game also lets the player figure out a lot of the story for themselves, rather than spelling everything out. The characters talk about past events and items you find provide hints at the larger context that everything fits into, but much of it is still left for the player to fit together as they discover new locations and characters that each provide another piece to the puzzle. Very few games have held my interest as effortlessly as Hollow Knight, even through the most challenging sections and battles I never felt the need to stop playing for long. The soundtrack is also one of the best of the last decade.

Huge nostalgia here but I truly think this is an extremely underrated Mario game. All of the levels are smartly created and shine with creativity throughout. Its a short burst blast thats perfect for the system and honestly fits this 2D/3D mix of styles much better than the more open 3D World in my opinion. Yes its pretty easy but I dont think thats a bad thing! Its super replayable, Ive beat this game like 100 times and even done some speedrunning attempts because of the way its set up and all the fun collectables. Its a great little self contained Mario game and genuinely one of my favorites
