That’s the spiritual sequel, yes! So it’s Shadow of the Colossus. I’m gonna count that :)

I haven't played Lost Legacy, mostly because I got a bit bored of the Uncharted formula by the time the third game came out (and I never even bothered completing that one, though I did finish the Vita game), so I was tuned out of the series long before Lost Legacy tbh. But it does star Claudia Black, which is always a plus. I used to come home from school and watch Farscape on TV most days and she played this effortlessly cool, prickly, kick ass character. Good memories. She went on to do a lot of other sci-fi shows and movies, and of course lots of video game VA, where she's almost instantly recognisable from her accent. I saw Lost Legacy came out on Steam recently, so I'll probably buy it on there eventually.

I used to watch Farscape too! Yup, Claudia and her accent are both here in The Lost Legacy, centrally. The game also boasts the vocal talents of Laura Bailey to boot, who you may remember from roughly everything great in the world.

I might have to recommend playing Uncharted 4 first before The Lost Legacy, if only for a little more narrative context. That's actually the game where Nadine is introduced. It's not actually vital to understanding the crux of The Lost Legacy to have that background info, but it does help. Uncharted 4 is also an excellent game in its own right. Just a satisfying conclusion to Nathan Drake's adventures. (Fun fact: The Lost Legacy was originally intended to be Uncharted 4 DLC, but wound up getting expanded into its own game.)

One I've very much been meaning to replay as is the whole franchise. These remakes are so well made and well done, I can't wait to play the 3rd one and the 4th one once it comes out. Some parts of this game are definitely better than others but it's a fun time all around and so well polished. A few newer RE games rank above this for me but this is still an extremely solid entry

Guessed by @kenjab

The first new entry for this year. There aren't too many, so I better cherish them.

Death's Door was... well, I want to say something nice, but the first words that come to mind are wasted potential. When I first booted up this game it felt wondrous and magical, it had a somber yet somehow light-hearted tone, the game just oozed character. Throughout the opening hour or two, I was amazed at how cool everything was, the whole setting and vibe, the idea that you're a reaper and all that, it was just striking me in a really powerful way... And then, the game stops you with a cutscene and says "this is a Zelda clone, here's the mcguffins at each end of the world, go get them". Fine, I guess. It got way less interesting from then on, but still had its great moments. And when I thought the game was over, it surprised me with what seemed to be the moment when things would take a wild turn for the better, but it was more inverted castle than dark world. That is to say, once the thrill faded, it quickly became an exercise in endless padding, rather than a great twist on the game.

This game also suffers from the "we made a nice looking game in a fixed camera, but it's 3D, so let's show off different angles and close-ups of the characters in cutscenes" syndrome. It's pretty common these days. Developers, just because your game looks nice during gameplay doesn't mean it won't look like crap in cutscenes. Stop overestimating your game's graphics.

Anyway, this game was great. It has an insanely underrated soundtrack (my favorites are Hall of Doors, Lost Cemetery, and The Old Watchtowers), and looks beautiful outside of the cutscenes. It had some great boss fights, two particular standouts I won't mention because spoilers, and it had a strong identity (until it didn't). In the end, as much as I enjoyed it, I couldn't help but wish it had been more. It could've.

-Watercolors and ink in motion (Okami)

#39

-A game characterized by a sense of freedom and discovery (Breath of the Wild)

#38

-I guess a shoe can also be a power-up (Super Mario Bros. 3)

#37

-The souls of the dead seeking closure

-Not the most conventional ship in your use

-Almost every important character except you is an animal of some kind

#36

-The destination doesn't really matter in the end

-Although it doesn't matter, it's very clear from the start what it is (Journey)

#46 (incorrect guesses - Golden Axe, Okami, Beyond Oasis, Soul Reaver). I've run out clues here, and no one has guessed. The game is The Adventures of Alundra (or Alundra in NTSC regions). Playstation game, available on PSN, similar to A Link to the Past.
- Challenging, highly regarded old school Zelda-like that was exclusive to one of Nintendo’s rivals.
- Based on previous guesses - it was released during a generation after Golden Axe Warrior, after Beyond Oasis, and before Okami.
- Although this got a sequel, this series never expanded beyond the platform it originally appeared on. This particular game was made available digitally on later platforms from the same console manufacturer though.
- Much like one of Nintendo's game that this is similar to, this also came with a map and tips book.
- The protagonist's name is the title of the game in the NTSC version - the PAL version adds a few words before it.

#43 (incorrect guesses - Super Smash Bros Melee)
- One of several iterations of an iconic game that saw the playable roster double from the number found in the original.
- Only half of that roster increase is playable for the first time here - the other half were playable in another version of the game released between this and the original.
- The roster may have increased, but the game length remains the same. You won't be seeing a third of them on any given playthrough.
- It's part of a franchise that is still going strong today.

#41
- The original heroes continue to fall away, as this time they both have to be saved.
- The playable characters conform to the traditional colours for a girl and a boy.

#40
- Good guys, bad guys... doesn't matter which, both have a chance of feline fine in this game.

Is this one of the Street Fighter II games? I think the one with the most characters is The New Challengers, so, SFII: The New Challengers?

Suprised no one got 42 yet, thought it might have been one of the easier ones. This'll be the last hint but I'm pretty sure it's a dead giveaway at this point.

42) A licensed game based on a character with many faces
Hint 2: He now shares one of these faces with a PlayStation character
Hint 3: A face with the first name Tom.
Hint 4: "Tom" is not actually related to the games with these characters, but rather their movie counterparts

Yep, that's the one. Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. Increased from 8 playable fighters in the original SFII to 16 here, although there were 12 playable fighters in Turbo, which was released before this.
