Any idea why Switch Lite lost 90 % compared to last year? Looks like there's not much interest left in this model.

It could be that they don't manufacture that many Lites anymore since it's almost never in stock in Japan. Anecdotal evidence, but still.

Hell has frozen over.

Right?! I was not expecting PS5 to beat the Switch in any week in Japan for along time. Great week for PS5. Shoes stock is improving.

Switch is pretty low though, is it low stock, anticipating Pokémon (and there'll be a SE/bundle right?), or the beginning of an end of an era?

It's the cliff, the Switch is dying. Next week it'll sell 10k units and then zero. The end is nigh. /s

I believe the last time Switch lost a week was week 7 of 2018. https://www.resetera.com/threads/media-create-sales-week-7-2018-feb-12-feb-18.24789/
Monster Hunter World came out in January 2018 and PS4 outsold Switch for 6 straight weeks from week 2 to 7.

EDIT: Switch narrowly lost week 46, 2020 when PS5 launched, 118k to 116k. https://www.resetera.com/threads/media-create-sales-week-46-2020-nov-09-nov-15.329204/

C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-C-OMBO BREAKER!!!

I had a sneaking suspicion that PS5 would top Switch one of these weeks but was not expecting it to be this one. PS showing a flicker of life in Japan. Don't think Star Ocean sales are strong enough to sustain the franchise.

Wonder if COD MWII will have legs to get over 100k combined or individually on both consoles in Japan.

I am guessing it is low stock with Pokemon OLED bundle about to come out.

Others may be implying this, but PS5 did (narrowly) beat the Switch on launch week in 2020. This is the first time PS5 has beaten Switch since then.

Nope, PS5 launch week. PS5 sold 118k and Switch sold 116k.
