Switch beginning to trail behind a little too much. Might be the time where Nintendo starts reacting now.

Have you seen Shadowlink's charts? It's way above 2019 and dropping that low this time of the year isn't unusual. The 3DS launch aligned was selling less than a third of the Switch's numbers on average weekly. Sometimes sub 20k. The Switch still has a lot of steam in it's engine.

Certainly it has steam left, but sales do point to a Switch 2 in 2024.

Yea but it is losing a bit of steam even tho there are big games releasing. So they need to react before it's just too late and momentum drops.

Definitely, in 2 or 2.5 years. Still some time left.

That's why I mentioned the time of year. The sales are always lower in this time of the year. Except for holidays (like the next two weeks) and really big system seller launches.

Momentum isn't really dropping. 2020 had like 10 weeks below 50k.

I hope when nintendo does release a new system it's actually ready to go

No stress
No mess
No joycon drift

Is there a chart somewhere that shows the weekly sales of the 3DS?

And is well stocked a couple months after launch.  The ps5 situation is just stupid.

@tbone51 has a good chart over on installbase. Maybe he can post it here too.

I have this chart that compares the fifth and sixth years of N3DS against the fifth and sixth years of Switch. The N3DS Peaked early compared to Switch, by year 5 and 6 it had slowed to a crawling pace. N3DS sold 1.87million in year 6, The switch will sell that much by week 20 or 21.
