Hardware sales

Well... goodbye stock. Not that last week had "good stock" but compared to this it did lol.

Great week for Switch, almost flat.

Pokemon Sword/Shield - 2,023,043   (275k week 3)
Pokemon Brillaint Diamond/Shining Pearl - 1,915,268  (164k week 3)

BD/SP definitely going to be more frontloaded than SW/SH which I think most people were expecting.

Damn! Switch was 98.5% of all console sales last week in Japan. Great restock for Switch (still below 2020 though) and terrible stock for all the others.

NSW 2021 is 174K behind NSW 2020 with 3 weeks left of the year, if the remaining 3 weeks are flat then 2021 will total 5.79m versus 5.96m in 2020.

This will surely be the first time that NSW sales have declined  year over year in Japan although they would have increased if not for stock shortages.

Famitsu Yearly NSW totals

It all depends on how well Microsoft restocks the XS. I'm guessing it's possible since PS4 is basically dead at this point and I don't see it getting a holiday spike (in Japan at least)

Stock for Switch OLED means this unit sold six times as much as last week. Shows that demand is at this point completely irrelevant, only stock counts. Stock for PS5 on the other hand has gone and it wasn't there for Xbox either.

Everything besides the Switch is pathetic in Japan. Sony is not even trying to compete.
