Here are some hints for the upcoming days:

19 - Quote from the game: "When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade."

18 - Spiritual successor to this game came out this year.

17 - What I would consider the best 2D Metroidvania game in recent years. it first released on a console not known for this genre.

16 - The first in what would end up as a trilogy of games with the same protagonist in a franchise that has MANY releases from Ubisoft.

15 - Open-world RPG that would be the first big game for the Xbox 360 post-launch.

19: Portal 2

The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion

I feel like this game should be my favorite Elder Scrolls game out of all of them and when I first started playing it I thought for sure it would be. But there were some design choices that I wasn't fond of that really dragged the game down for me. Even so I believe this game has the best quests and factions this series has seen and also one of the best dlc expanisions.

If Bethesda can do one million releases of Skyrim - wouldn't it be time to remaster this game for modern systems?

#24 This game released on Switch this year with some added content but before that it was on a different Nintendo console.

#23 This game was originally going to release with an entire province the player could explore but was cut and instead took place on an island within the province.

#22 This is the first 3d installment from this franchise that is still awaiting the 4th entry.

#21 In this game you can fly around space and land on various moons.

#20 This PS2 game is known as the second game in this franchise but is actually the third game to be released.

I'm surprised they haven't done a simple remaster of both Morrowind and Oblivion for all consoles. Easy money right there. I know both of them are available for Xbox consoles at least.

Guessed by drbunnig

This game is notorious. Not just because of its fame and legacy, but because of something else too. Because people always get in the way. Natalya, Boris, 006 even though you know he's actually the bad guy because you've already seen the movie, and of course the scientists. All of them always manage to get in the way of your bullets, and then they die and then your mission failed. The scientists are the worst, because they also have the habit of standing near machinery that's blows up pretty easy. But all that doesn't matter in the slightest, because 'GoldenEye 007' is just one mountain of charm.

GoldenEye, is a labour of love, and you can see it in everything from how it came to be, how the designers added things they wanted on the fly like the multiplayer component and last but not least how they used their own faces as the faces of the enemies. The game also has a plethora of unlockables they call cheat codes. They are hardly advantageous to the player, but cheat codes they are. My parent always made me use the paintball mode because that looked less violent, but the most famous one was the so-called DK mode, which gave all the NPC's large heads and an ape-like stature. This was funny to look at, but sadly, also made it even easier for the scientists to get in the way.

No guesses for these yet, which means new hints. For #19 this is the last hint because I'll stamp it unguessed. Long list of hints this time, and also, the first for #16.

#19: Out of sight out of mind says us.

Hint 2: Is what the barkeep said about the abundance of garbage this planet creates. He knows the real reason why you asked though, so time to show your weapon.

Hint 3: And that weapon commands respect. You got it from your father in the previous game, but it's a bit strange though because now the blade is blue while in the previous game it was green.

Hint 4: You get it where you left it between this and the previous game; with the great Master in his new academy. Immediately after, you'll relearn your basic powers through a couple of puzzling trials.

#18: This game features a building named "Kong Tower", which is fitting because it kind of looks like the real 'Kong' tower.

Hint 2: It's $$$ commercial and 3x3 large.

Hint 3: The funny thing is, even though this is a big and tall building, it'll be gone again in no time if you don't check the box to make it a monument.

#17: The Mac OS version of this game (at least) featured an interesting anti-piracy measure where you had to look up letters in the manual.

Hint 2: Once you find the correct letter, you can drink the correct bottle and the door to the next level opens. Drink the wrong one, and die.

#16: Breaking a mirror brings bad luck. Maybe the bad guy in this game shouldn't have broken the mirror.

Nope, WoW has more continents.

One of the Elder Scrolls or Fallout games maybe?

'Pivotal' would probably mean either Morrowind, Oblivion, or Skyrim for the Elder Scrolls. And any of the first three numbered Fallout games.

Yes you are very close, it is a bethesda game.

2nd round of hints.

27: Starting off with a big empire is fine and dandy, at least until possible revolutions happen. You could lose half of your empire in an instant.

So to prevent massive revolutions, you have to make sure to build buildings that increase public order and divy out titles to your top generals.

26: Having control of the sea, expands trade massively. Having control of land, just looks cool.

Revolution is possible here too, but it is more centralized to certain cities.

25: A massive magma titan wants to kill you, and everything in its path.

Okay, actually he doesn't want to kill you. He just kills all normal humans so that special people can live.

24: One of the most pivotal games of all open world games. This game features 3 factions vying for control of the continent.

Bethesda. Jump to increase Acrobatics. Run to increase Athletics. Use a spear to increase spear skills. Use an Axe to increase Axe skills.

23: Hacking and slashing is back, this time with a 4th faction.

The 3 original factions, also got more characters. But one faction lost a few characters to the new faction, although I consider them combined to be a massive faction. The 3 original factions were deadlocked in a stalemate war for 43 years.
