#20: Don't kill the scientists.

Could apply to many games I'm sure, but I'm going to go for Goldeneye

My #23 is still unguessed:

#23: Pay a donkey carrots to get more corpses. A talking skull is your helper. Plant carrots, make wine, hammer nails, practice alchemy and create Zombies. The names for the DLC's for this indie game are puns on popular TV-shows like Breaking Bad, Stranger Things or Game of Thrones.

#22: Draw the map of the dungeon you find in a high school yourself. Guessed by The_Liquid_Laser.

#21: Silver haired maiden.

#20: Marry to get children you can send into fights to the permadeath.

#19 The second adventure of Ashley Mizuki Robbins.

21.  Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn?

20.  Fire Emblem Awakening?

Both correct. And I don't know why both Fire Emblem games ended up back to back in the list. I finished my list and only realized later that after all the shuffling they sat beneath each other.

Last try if anyone can get my #23:

#23: Pay a donkey carrots to get more corpses. A talking skull is your helper. Plant carrots, make wine, hammer nails, practice alchemy and create Zombies. The names for the DLC's for this indie game are puns on popular TV-shows like Breaking Bad, Stranger Things or Game of Thrones. At the beginning of the game your character dies, only to end up in another world with a job which is the games name.

#22: Draw the map of the dungeon you find in a high school yourself. Guessed by The_Liquid_Laser.

#21: Silver haired maiden. Guessed by The_Liquid_Laser.

#20: Marry to get children you can send into fights to the permadeath. Guessed by The_Liquid_Laser.

#19 The second adventure of Ashley Mizuki Robbins. This time on Wii and again as the outing on the DS the new controls are used in puzzles. Which does for the Wiimote means pointer function, not so much waggling.

29) Death by fish.

Hint 2: Malfunction by fish*

Hint 3: Ending K

27) The person think you are, is actually a member of the main villain group of this game.

Hint 2: He now goes by the same first name as the protagonist of a very long running anime, but spelt slightly differently.

Hint 3: The anime in question is Pokémon, this game has also been on a Nintendo handheld but not originally.

Hint 4: If you gaze long enough into _____, _____ will also gaze into you.

24) After gathering tons of stars twice before, you now go looking for them at the source.

23) The titular character that just can't stay dead is back for the 3rd time.

22) Just short of a thousand.

I should have figured this one out much earlier. 29 is Nier: Automata, and I think 27 is Tales of the Abyss.

  • People gush over this series' gibberish lore to make up for the lack of actual story, but I say fuck the lore - it's all about the hellish combat really. This entry makes it more fluid than ever before. And prettier too, much prettier.

Edit - Doom is actually a really good guess for #17 given the clue, but it's way off xD

Gibberish lore sounds like Kingdom Hearts but hellish combat doesn't fit, plus KH3 is boring so I can't see it being #17... so I'm gonna go with Devil May Cry 5.

No correct guesses for these yet, so here's another hint.

#20:

  • Following the events of the first game a civil war has broken out between the noble faction and those seeking to reform the empire.
  • Divine Knights play a significant role in the war.
  • Most of the main cast is a member of the Thors Military Academy's class VII.

#18

  • One of the main character's name is different in this game than in most of that character's later appearances.
  • Although it doesn't seem like it, you don't actually meet the game's main villain until fairly late in the game.
  • Every prior encounter with the villain is actually just a piece of another being masquerading as the villain.

Well, #22 and #21 weren't guessed yet, so new hints. And hint for new game #20.

#22: This game really only came to be because of a dare.

Hint 2: A dare because the lead producer actually wanted to just make an expansion or alteration of this game's predecessor, but that was something his director didn't want to do.

Hint 3: So the director used most assets from the previous game to craft something new and original, a side-story.

#21: One small village of indomitable ones still holds out against the invaders. And life is not easy for those who garrison the fortifies camps. So let's take back the country, province by province.

Hint 2:You do this by distributing the Magic Potion you get across your own provinces, and attack.

22.  Majora's Mask?

21.  Never played an Asterix game, but this has to be one of them.

22 is correct.

21 is indeed an Asterix game, you're right in that regard. But can you know which one. This is actually extremely easy to guess, because you don't really have to think about it any further. (I'll give you the credit though if no-one else comes up with the exact thing)

#20: Well, if you say military academy, it must be Trails of Cold steel. I think you already had 1 and 3 on your list and the hint also points to 2, so that one.
