RFA is going to overtake Splatoon 2 and Pokémon Let's Go soon, not to shabby for a game many wrote off before it launched.
Including Wii U sales, BOTW has sold more than Smash Bros Ultimate.

Really curious what that $900 mil is mainly going to be used for. I know it's highly unlikely they will buy current studios. A little more likely, but still very unlikely, is they create brand new studios. I think they will most likely just expand the size of their more successful teams so they can make more games and faster.
What I personally wish is they would go full war-paint mode and create three brand new studios all based in USA for the sole purpose of making games that appeal towards the hardcore. New ips for the three. Pumping out western RPGs, Action Adventure games, etc.
Put them and Retro under Doug Bowser, and give the man direct control over what those four studios do with autonomy as long as they are successful in the next 10 years. Retro is already in Texas, put one in Seattle, one in Florida, and one in New York, four different parts of the country. If they are successful, then maybe they add a 5th sometime down the road in the midwest, somewhere central like Kansas City or St. Louis.

That's what they've been doing already for the most part.
Monolith Soft. has more than triple the amount of employees they had 10 years ago, and I'd consider them the MVPs of Nintendo during that timeframe. I'd love to see them grow to the point where they can develop their own 2 franchises (Xenoblade + new IP) plus 1 of Nintendo's IPs that have long since been dormant (Kid Icarus, anyone?)
Intelligent Systems has been a little slower with their growth, but they have been growing. They've got 1 of their own (Fire Emblem) and 1 of Nintendo's (Paper Mario). And with Advance Wars getting a remake, if that does well, perhaps they'll get a little more manpower to bring that franchise back so that it's 2 & 1 for them.
I'd love to see what Next Level Games has to offer themselves on top of Luigi's Mansion.
And while it may be unlikely, I'd like to see Nintendo officially purchase MercurySteam, make them their in-house 2D Metroid team and also give them the green-light to come up with their own franchise as well.
As interesting as that Western IP strategy would be to see, the chances of that happening are very slim.

Seattle is one of the four most populous states?
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I apologize, I was going to put it in California but then my brain thought about the fact that they already have stuff in Seattle so they could just put it there, but then I forgot to fix the other part of my statement lol.

They might use some of that money for Intelligent Systems, but keep in mind they do not own them.

Given that Nintendo has invested heavily in building up Monolith Soft from 70 employees in 2011 to 272 this April, hopefully now that they own Next Level they'll do the same so that they can not only make more games of their own but also assist with the production of other Nintendo titles, like Monolith do with the likes of Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon.

Just like Austria is in Germany. I've played Wolfenstein.

From the quarterly Japanese Investor Q & A; Nintendo reiterates Switch is still in the "middle" of its lifespan:
Q: What can you say about the 20xx next gen device?
— David Gibson (@gibbogame) November 5, 2021
A: Nothing can say, Switch think is in middle phase of cycle, now have OLED and momentum continues with wide variety of software line-up. 2)

Well that means my 2023 prediction, which I have stood by for a long time now, is wrong, and I am sad for it. I was looking forward to a much faster and more powerful device in 2023, but it looks like I'm going to have to wait until 2024 or later now. I have no interest in buying some Pro model in a year or two that has a tiny amount of exclusives. I did that with New 3ds XL which was not financially worth it in the end, won't be making that mistake twice.
The chances of my buying a Steam Deck just went from no way to quite possibly.
