GC+GBA will most likely be done by the end of this year(103.5M). The only challenge now is N64+GB/GBC(151.62M). Wii+DS is unrealistic.

If it outsells PS4 + Vita, then does that make Switch a success or does that make PS4 a failure?

Will make Vita a failure. I don't think you can top 100M and be called a failure.

Since when are we counting GB/GBC as the same generation? GBC could play GB games, but from what I've read GB couldn't play most GBC games (they could for some that came out early in GBC's life). GBC had more/better MHz, RAM. Also, after 10 years on the market GB was discontinued and GBC came out a year prior to the discontinuation and lasted itself for 5 years. I've always viewed these as two different generations, just like I viewed Advanced/SP as the next generation (as I don't believe SP could play any games than the regular Advanced couldn't).

@Dulfite To be fair, Nintendo usually groups them together. If anything, maybe sales from 1989-1996 could be coupled with SNES and sales from 1996 to discontinuation could be coupled with N64.

That's an impressive feat considering the switch is missing

smash bros, 2d mario, star fox, metroid prime, pilot wings, mario kart, pikmin, and many more.

That's what happens when you make a product that is actually highly appealing to the public, and it surely blows both combined out of the water in terms of profitability.

Is this some kind of troll comment?

Doesn't seem like that long ago that even "Switch will sell on par with 3DS" was a fairly frequent claim, and it was common thinking that Nintendo's last two systems represented everyone still interested in buying a device from them. Goes to show just how unexpectedly things can turn out in this industry, and how many consumers have no commitment to a brand and will come and go depending on how good the current product is.
