Which FF deserves the remake?!

Final Fantasy II 3 5.08%

FF III 1 1.69%

FF IV 1 1.69%

FF V 1 1.69%

FF VI 34 57.63%

FF VIII 8 13.56%

FF IX 7 11.86%

FF X 3 5.08%

FF XII 0 0%

FF XIII 1 1.69%

Total:59

Imagine VIII, but with a good junction system and other quality of life improvements. Make drawing less tedious and the junction system so you cannot break the game.
Imagine how scenes like the space-mission, or the war of the gardens could play out with modern graphics and gameplay. Or how Odin and Gilgamesh come about in this game. All the cool summons. And Esther, the hidden city. That would be so neat.

There's more strategy involved in the remake combat than the original, and you can button mash in the original as well so your argument isn't exactly strong lol :P

Neither is anyone elses that are saying otherwise. ATB was replaced with pressing square over and over in a short period of time. Didn't do this in the original, still don't do this. Making a choice every now and then is not button mashing, this part of FF7R worked, it was good, the entire game should have been that. Not mash square to do that.

Hmm, pie.

Yeah, I also miss turn based but we have to move passed the idea of that turn based equals tactical and action equals button mashing. You cannot button mash your way through FFVIIR lol

For me, things I miss about turn based.
1. Full input on all characters
2. clear overview of all combat actions
3. Cinematic angles and presentation of your characters, enemies and attacks.
4. Not concerning yourself with reflexes allows you to focus on tactics more (if battle calls for it)

IKR? There are turn based RPG that are nothing more than animes with gameplay and almost no need for any strategic or tactical input. There is a game is so often praised for being the epitome of a good RPG just because it's old-school  but in reality you can beat the said game only using the strongest attack available + healing. Buffs, debuffs and negative stats usage is circunstancial to a point of being negible, weapon or element advantage is noexistent, skills are mostly all the same, just do the basic  MP and HP management for 80 hours straight and you will win every battle without breaking a sweat

VI but I would be happy if they just re release slightly enhanced versions of the DS versions of FFIII and IV. Both of those where very good especially IV since its one of only a few DS games that also had voice acting.

None!

Stop making and stop asking for remakes of old games, give us new games instead.

The problem with that is I haven't liked a "new" FF game since 2002. So with 20 years of failing to make a good new game... why would I want more of that when I can ask for remakes of games I already know are good instead?

Oh yes, I can only second that. X was the last good one for me. XI is completely uninteresting to me, as is XIV, since they are MMOJRPGs. XII was good, but not for me. XIII and XV were hot garbage. Much potential in them, but almost all of it wasted.

It is honestly a miracle to me, that I'm hopeful for XVI.

VI for me. And as other already said, with Octopath Traveler graphic style. Please.

So I think i'm one of the few people who can't get with the bite size characters and lack actual contact during combat when it comes to the 2D HD style games.

I'd Prefer some sort of mix between PS1 style graphics with full proportion characters + modern 3d pixel art

I wish remakes for FF4 and FF6, in the same way they remade FF7.
Both deserves it as those games offer the best characters, stories and worlds (along with FF7): they are FINAL FANTASIES in its purest form.
