Ugh please god no haha, I hated RE5 and 6 in large part because of the forced co-op and garbage partner AI.

Besides the annoyances of having it shoehorned into the scenario and having to rely on an unreliable ally, it's just not scary when someone's there to help you.

You don't have to worry about co-op causing that, because RE8 isn't remotely scary either.

According to Steamspy, The village is still the best-selling game.

I also looked at Steamcharts.
Resi7 had up to 18000 concurrent players.
In Village it is over 100,000.
7 had the best sales in the series (8.5 million), so isn't this a good sign?

There are not many horror games with more than 10,000 concurrent users on Steam.

That rumour is not true. 

So it's probably going to sell more than RE7 LT. 10mil is possible then.

I haven't delved into the rumour but Sony has a marketing deal with Capcom for the game, so keeping it off something like Gamepass would seem a natural part of that deal? 

It seems like there's definitely been more hype for RE8 than there was for RE7, and it's been better received than RE5 or RE6.

I can see it becoming the new highest selling entry in the franchise.
