What are some movies that are rendered virtually unwatchable in their edited-for-TV counterparts?

One that immediately comes to mind is the ITV edit of RoboCop. Aside from some "curious" choices of dialog being dubbed over (crumbag instead of scumbag, redubbing asshole with airhead, "bitches leave" being redubbed with "ladies leave", etc.), a bunch of scenes are badly butchered by editing, no longer making sense or are outright made comical (that CGI bra has got to be awfully hot with the body armor on and the robber now acts surprised when he gets busted for robbing a liquor store with a shotgun in hand, and don't even get me started on the atrocious editing of the ED 209 malfunctioning and Emil death scenes):

Scarface: "How'd you get those scars, eating PINEAPPLE?"

The Big Lebowski: "This is what you get when you meet a stranger in the alps!"

Die Hard. Yippee Ki Yay Melon Farmer

I tweeted about this when it was on ITV4 a few months ago. They seriously edited the early ED 209 scene, but then a few minutes later still had the full on, brutal Murphy execution scene. Made no sense whatsoever.

There's a scene in Die Hard 2, where McClane is outside the church and he says 'who gives a fuck', and you can see he quite clearly says that, but they still censor the word 'fuck' and turn it into some weird sound that's not even a word.

Wolf Blitzer on CNN. He is a raving lunatic. Going on about destroying everyone, conquering Venus, and sending all of our trees to the sun as a sacrifice to the great lizard, but does CNN let him say any of this? Nope! They just edit in all the 'uh' comments and make him sound like a buffoon.

Was that imaginative enough?

It pretty much used to be all of them since they showed them in 4:3 instead of their original theatrical aspect ratio.

If it went to theaters, you better believe that shit's getting seriously cut down as well. That scene (among others) actually had to be censored to avoid an X rating.

Meanwhile, The Wolverine couldn't even show the ninja fight without getting an R (confirmed by James Mangold himself on the unrated cut commentary track). A bunch of other onscreen stabbings had to be cut as well, and that was with all the gore digitally removed (even bloodless stabbings can't be shown TOO much).

I remembered watching a Tom & Jerry cartoon clip (very old ones) on TV where both were looking outside, and their head was half cut, I was like "wait a minute, is my TV cropping the full image ?"

This is a tv edit that always stuck out to me as ridiculous, because of the tameness of the word that was being replaced.

Stand By Me - The junkyard scene was edited on tv to have the narrator say that they dreaded hearing the junkyard owner's cry of "Chopper, sic kid" instead of 
"Chopper, sic balls".
