Mars Express: I love smart, detailed scifi that doesn't treat the viewer like they're stupid. We can always use more of it. This is some of the best I've seen in a while. I'm also really glad that adult animation is finally becoming more popular in the West. Keep it coming!

This looks really promising! Will keep an eye on it.

Almost done with "The Envoys" on SkyShowtime, it's a bit different. I like it, and it helps me practice Spanish as well. I'm gonna finish season 2 today, and then watch the season finale of "Tulsa King", which has been okay so far (but season 1 was better). Thinking of Watching "The Penguin" and "Industry" on Max after those two are done. I also have "Lioness" on my watch-list. Oh! And I just finished "Hysteria" as well, it's great fun, set in the 80s and with a good cast, I love seeing Nolan North in feature films, and Bruce Campbell is always a winner in eyes.
In the coming weeks, I'll be having movie nights with themes, I just purchased about 20 4K movies, a Panasonic DP-UB820 player, and the Game of Thrones 4K collection. This winter will be lit (doubly so, as my TV goes up to 4000 nits)!

Watched Pantheon. I don't like the drawing style, but besides that it is not bad. I am not sure about the ending, but other than that I think it is a pretty good exploration of what might happen. I am especially agreeing, with the notion that the first idea probably is to make the UIs basically corporate slaves, not aware of their status as shell only there to make money for their owner.

Apparently there is a second season, I watched only one, because I caught it on Netflix, maybe I look for the second season as well at another place. Not sure though a second season is needed, I feel like it might dilute the themes. But who knows, I will try it as well.

Lol, I just found out the other day that they did end up making a second season and am rewatching the first on NF right now. It's weird how hard it is to access S2; almost like they wanted to bury it or something. I had to torrent it and will probably start it up tomorrow night. I hope they didn't slash the budget or anything to get it out the door.

Well, Season 2 did not disappoint. No drop in budget or quality and the back half in particular really pushes the envelope and takes the story to some bold horizons. It's a shame the show wasn't more successful but with time I think this will go down as one of the underappreciated gems of the modern wave of Western adult animation. Check both seasons out if you get the chance.

Started "Halo" on SkyShowtime, I'd label it as okay after 4 episodes. Spartans look and sound badass, but the CGI is quite poor in general. There are also some strange narrative choices and structures, and a lot of strange inconsistencies (like no form of communication gear besides mouths in certain settings, combustion engines, and what appears to be 20th century assault rifles in the year 2550+).
