So RFA now starts its climb to 3m.

I remember that the question was if pikmin would manage to sell 500k in japan lifetime.
it did, but in less than a semester. i am happy for the wellfare of the franchise.

I know its a bit tricky to compare but Pikmin 1 and 2 was realesed on a system where the Userbase was a lot smaller and it seems that is has really flopped in the US and Europe. So the question is, will this be enoufg for a new game in the series? I really love these games but to realese a game with 3 on it, when the last precursor came out in 2004 feels a bit wierd to me.  They should have realesed it as a complication game, called, Pikmin trilogy...

But iam glad it hs some longlivety in cha charts at least in Japan.

So, Pikmin 3 is at 500k physically as of these numbers. With digital numbers included, I'm guessing it must be somewhere within the 650-800k range, which would make it the best selling Pikmin game of all time in Japan in just a little less than 2 months.

Wow.

Can't help but wonder what other dormant Nintendo IPs could do big numbers on the Switch if they were given the chance.
