Well, I was wrong. By a lot.
Best selling family this month (units)?
Nintendo family | 69 | 77.53%
Playstation family | 19 | 21.35%
XBOX family | 1 | 1.12% | |
Total: | 89 |
I think the shipments by month in kilograms was a bit misleading to Gibson and to us because it's likely that a lot of that shipment got eaten up in october and not november.
Huge fail on Nintendo's end for not being able to get stock under control for the holidays.
Very disappointing sales, no matter how you look at it.
I had a feeling the holidays would be a bit lower than what some were expecting. Even then that’s still a pretty good number

Neither my state nor none of the bordering states really did anything against retail shopping.
Some retailers put restrictions themselves, like Walmart only selling PS5 and Xbox online.

Retailers did. They discouraged large crowds and heavily promoted online shopping.
Just google black friday 2020 crowds and you'll find plenty of articles.
Yea sales for all 3 consoles were extremely disappointing. Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft should've prioritized stocking for the holiday season more than anything but failed to deliver.
1.3m is decent all things considered. The stock for the OG model was just not there this year like it'd been in previous years.
December will probably be relatively flat as well, stock isn't too abundant still.
