Worse yet, he is rated 81 in game, higher than half the quarterbacks who are actually in the league, including Cam Newton.

What a weird thing to be pissed about, its obviously and sadly politically motivated.
If they added Pele, Maradona - or any well known player not on that level - as free agents in Fifa people would be happy about it. They probably already do.

Thing is Pele is a legend, regarded as one of the best players of all-time, that is why people would be happy to see him in FIFA. Colin isn't even close to that level of skill, he was a mediocre quarterback at best even when he was playing, and they have him rated higher than half the quarterbacks in the league who are actually playing this season. That is why people feel like this is a pandering move by EA.

That's part of the problem. Many are mad that they are taking the time to add him to the game when they could be working on bug fixes and such instead.

Meh. People get outraged over everything. That said, it's strange that the anti-cancel culture people were perfectly fine with him being blacklisted. But, not going to buy a crap game either way.

So apparently he had a 74 rating in Madden 17, compared to an 81 now. So EA is basically saying that he has improved to an 81 over the last few years of not playing.

Kaepernick definitely won't play in the NFL again while Trump is president. He is the type of player who is more trouble than he is worth it and coaches don't want the locker room in turmoil because of constant irritating media attention. Antonio Brown was much more talented than Kaepernick - in fact, one of the best wide receivers the NFL had ever seen - but his antics were too much for every team in the league.
