He truly loves to fool his followers. Well, maybe he just meant USA is testing so much more than Senegal and Tuvalu and those who don't support him just believe that he loves to talk shit for votes.

Who cares about tests per capita, right?

I'm sure if Andorra had done 6 million tests they would be on top right now :)

The world info site has tests per capita, USA sits in 43rd place, behind Hong Kong, Belgium, Canada, Australia, Russia...

Spain sits at over 30K tests per 1M population, USA 18K tests per 1 million population.
(Spain positive rate is the same as USA positive rate: 17% of tests positive)

USA always comparing themselves to the worst :)

The US isn't doing an awful job at testing but it's far from being a role model.

It may be 43rd on the site but its testing numbers get updated daily while not all countries share those on a daily basis.

UK added ~4000 deaths from places outside hospitals and will continue to count them in the future.

Excess mortality.
When its drastically higher than "avg deaths" that occure in your country around this time of year, on avg in past.
Something has to be the reason.

Then you count that, and compaire it to your offical Covid19 deaths, and you can a "clearer" picture of just how far off your numbers probably are.

site: https://www.ft.com/content/6bd88b7d-3386-4543-b2e9-0d5c6fac846c

"Global coronavirus death toll could be 60% higher than reported" - Financial times.

"In all the countries analysed except Denmark, excess deaths far outnumbered the official coronavirus death tolls. The accuracy of official death statistics from the virus is limited by how effectively a country is testing people to confirm cases." - Financial times.

(basically most countries numbers are way way off...... Financial times, apparently looked at our excess mortality vs our reported covid19 deaths, and concluded we were like the only one out of the 60 they looked at that reported accurately)

Since differnt countries count things differntly, just looking at excess mortality (in % or hard numbers) might be better.

If the USA started counting Home deaths (likely releated to covid19) and those at nurseing homes, Im pretty sure, their number of deaths would be  past 80,000 by now.

case in point, NYC has reported 16,673 deaths at a time when their excess mortality for this time periode, was ~21,000 higher than normal
that basically means NYC alone probably under reported actual deaths caused by Covid19 by like 4300 deaths.

Its likely its like this other places in the USA too.

Anyways good on the UK getting ontop of the counting.

An interesting conversation can be had over what happened to the video of the two doctors in question. Assuming their message was wrong, haven't many people and organizations got it all wrong and still get it wrong when thinking about how to deal with the virus? It's just odd to prevent two highly qualified doctors from voicing their opinions because you think they're wrong?

# Fake news?

If doctors spread mis information (aka fake news), it could be dangerous?
Likely why it was taken down.

Youtube actually hired people to look at mis-information about the coronavirus.
If your spreading something thats incorrect, its taken down.

So if you get a doctor to make a youtube video, saying "black people are immune to this virus" and put it online.
Someone will come by, notice it and remove it. Its factually incorrect, and can thus be taken down.

edit: yes it was fakenews.

the  video in question, basically says "its just a flubro", "stay at home doesnt work" "its not statistic significant if you lockdown or not" ect.
Its a bullshit video LurkerJ, thats dangerous and goes against what WHO recammend, and what the White house itself says ect.

video talking about it :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=352&v=RCRfxQ38TXE&feature=emb_logo

edit 2:

The american college of emergency physicians (ACEP) and the american academy of emergency medicine (AAEM) jointly released a statement, condeming the recent opinions by these doctors in the video you talk about LurkerJ.

They say "as the owners of local urgent care clinics, it appears these two indeviduals are releaseing biased, non-peer reviewed data to advance their own personal financial  intrests".

^ # fake news, 2 lieing doctors, out for profits, not careing about lives it risks.

The ONLY reason, its on foxnews, is because it fits their narrative.
Profit over lives, let the working poor, in factories die, as long as it doesnt hurt the profits of the owners of big corporations, its fine.
(basically fox news, is spreading the messageing of the Rich.... whatever is good for the rich that pump money into Fox News, is whatever they parrot to its veiwers)

Oh trust me, I know FOX news isn't after the truth, I don't value their 90% of the time, that doesn't mean interesting debate can't happen on MSM.

Do you have a link to the actual video in question? I wasn't able to find it. I would like to watch it.

Edit: The video you linked is actually more damning than the one I linked, and make solid arguments regarding what happened.

Have you watched it? Do you not see how problematic these blank statements made after the removal of the videos? What do you think of it?

Here, I'll embed it so it's easier to watch

Good news guys:

https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1266758/tests-in-recovered-patients-in-s-korea-found-false-positives-not-reinfections-experts-say

"South Korea’s infectious disease experts said Thursday that dead virus fragments were the likely cause of over 260 people here testing positive again for the novel coronavirus days and even weeks after marking full recoveries."

"“The tests detected the ribonucleic acid of the dead virus,” said Oh, a Seoul National University hospital doctor, at a press conference Thursday held at the National Medical Center.

He went on to explain that in PCR tests, or polymerase chain reaction tests, used for COVID-19 diagnosis, genetic materials of the virus amplify during testing, whether it is from a live virus or just from fragments of dead virus cells that can take months to clear from recovered patients.

The PCR tests cannot distinguish whether the virus is alive or dead, he added, and this can lead to false positives."

Looks like those people didnt get Reinfected.

"“The respiratory epithelial cell has a half-life of up to three months, and RNA virus in the cell can be detected with PCR testing one to two months after the elimination of the cell,” Oh said."

"The committee ruled out reactivation of COVID-19 as a reason for relapses and said there was little to no possibility that reinfections would occur due to antibodies that patients develop."

This means its still very likely you do infact gain immunity after being infected.

Very interesting indeed. That also means a lot of those who test positives while showing absolutely no symptoms might have recovered already and don't need to be quarantined just because they're positive?

I think its only good if something is deemed mis-information, reguarding the virus is removed.
Theres too many nutty people out there, and the situation in the USA is hard enough to controll as is.

Keeping that sort circulateing could lead to dangerous outcomes.

I think its safer to use the anitbody tests, for that sort.
Why "guess or gamle", when theres a test that can clear a person instead? Basically theres no need for a "maybe".

You'll jinx yourself, we've barely even begun.

I am sorry to disappoint you, but humanity is going to get through this without severe long term damage.

I suspect that you've been wishing all along that lots of people will die. So many that death was sure to claim all the political correct ones, allowing you to freely speak your mind as one of the survivors once it was all over. That's quite the sinister masterplan you had in your mind, but too bad for you that corona turned out to be merely the flu on steroids instead of the ultra deadly virus you had hoped for.

But do not worry too much. It's not the end of the world to be a racist, sexist or homophobe. I am all of them and I've been doing just fine all my life long. Just remember: You have the right to express your opinion, but so do others have the right to disagree with your opinion. Don't mistake your right for an entitlement to agreement by the majority.

I think the better way to put the t-shirt reply would be that in an end of the world type movie, this "I survived (blank)" individual, would almost certainly meet their demise by the end of the film, and in a fashion that would be extremely rare and ironic.

Luckily life isn't a movie, though it's getting harder to tell the difference everyday.
