This is a rather well-thought-out and detailed breakdown of how the 'war on Christmas' is absolute, utter nonsense, isn't real, and is perpetuated by the Right because it's the only way they - conservative christians - can convince their gullible, nationalist audience that they - the ones in power - are being oppressed.

I don't always like HBomberGuy (A lot of his game opinions are hilariously bad), but when it comes to politics and science he tends to know what he's talking about and does a lot of work showing his perspective and...you know, being right about stuff.

So if you're a person who believes this 'war on christmas' in in fact real...you're wrong and I shall pray for your soul.

HBomberGuy is pretty okay when it comes to politics. There are certainly worse channels than his when it comes to it, but I rarely watch him because there are better ones - they just take forever to bring new videos. When it comes to politics, Shaun is for me by far the best Youtube channel. His style is very simple, but his video essays are very thought out and well researched. Three Arrows is very similar, but from an European point of view (the host is German).

If you want to add deep philosophical questions around politics and maybe even some costumes and/or extravaganza to the politics mix, ContraPoints and Philosophy Tube will positively surprise you. Fair warning though: Those videos are very heavy and dive very deep into their themes, so if you're not prepared for it you'll end up more confused than anything else with their content.

And wouldn't you know it? As a shock to nobody, the House GOP kills the $2,000 Covid relief bill.

They don't even TRY to hide their evil, anymore.

The one time they should have agreed with Trump, they don't. Not sure if that's gonna be a good way to go into the Georgia Senate runoffs in a couple weeks...

Trump's pardons of cronies and people who helped/attempted to help him politically should be overturned; at the very least, those who were pardoned for the very criminal acts they used to help Trump. This is third world level corruption. Trump has no problem with the lockup of political enemies for their supposed crimes, that takes away any moral authority he has himself for getting arrested for his crimes and corruption.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

When Trump said he wants to drain the swamp he actually meant to pump the last bit of fresh water out of it.

Not only that, he drained the swamp - and turned it into a toxic waste disposal site.

So, Trump apparently signed the Covid Bill that he refused to sign a few days ago. This means that people will be getting their $600 checks, but Trump's delay will prevent many people from getting their Unemployment compensation for the final week of the year and reduce the amount of time that people will get the additional compensation from 11 weeks to 10 weeks. Thanks for making things worse for everyone in exchange for literally nothing, Trump...

What a chode.

He's a chode for wanting you to get more money? He wanted you to get 2000$ per week instead of 600$, it is the democrats that drafted a garbage bill and gave him no choice.

You really can't help seeing him in a bad light it seems. This might help you:

I love that you glossed over the oh-so-unimportant unemployment benefits.

It's the Republicans who didn't want the $2000, so they had to pull down all the way to $600 to get it past the Reaper Moscow Mitch McConnell, otherwise it would have stayed in the senate potentially forever. There's a reason why many Democrats were actually cheering when Trump said he wanted $2000, not just $600, since $2000 was their original plan.

He's a chode for virtue signaling about giving people more money when it was far too late to actually affect that in any way. If he'd actually given any shits about this bill he had wees to try to change it. He only cares to make sure people like you think he cares.

...

In a fitting twist of fate, Trump's election lawyers could face possible sanctions for their frivolous election fraud lawsuits.

Knowingly filing baseless lawsuits with not a single shred of evidence and diverting resources away from other more important cases to deal with Trump's personal tantrum could have consequences?  Who knew?

This is the US, consequences are only ever hypothetical.

It's a country where the most criminal President of all time is pardoning his accomplices.
