Fallout 76. I don't know why it took so long for a majority of consumers and critics to come around to realizing that they suck, but now that they have, it makes me so happy to see Bethesda finally get the recognition they have so richly deserved for over a decade, as the industry's premier AAA digital scat merchants. There may be technically, objectively worse games out there, but among full priced retail releases from big studios, Fallout 76 is at the very least, worthy of consideration for such an ignominious distinction as Worst Of The Year, and it's the only one who's inclusion in said category, makes me want to do a little dance.

When people talk about Bethesda like that, I just need to clarify, do you mean the whole company (ie the publisher) pr Bethesda Game Studios ( the developer). I ask as the former would include id Software and Arkane, and recent releases of Doom and Dishonored would show they don't really deserve to be lumped in with the Fallout mess.

He means just the developer (Fallout/TES teams), and not the whole publishing arm.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Flashfire926 is correct, although I was once so anti-Bethesda, that for a spell, ( couple of years, roughly ) I would not buy any game with their logo on it, which included titles they published. I stopped that practice with Wolfenstein: The New Order, and purchased basically everything available from both Machine Games and Arkane on the PS3 and PS4. I even went back and bought all the DLC for Dishonored after I received that game as part of my PS+ subscription last year.

Toss up between Fallout 76 and Metal Gear Survive.

Fallout 76 doesn't deserve it. it maybe did a few weeks ago but with Atlas out it became hands down the worst game.

And they also made Ark on switch so yeah they also are the worst devs of the year.

Atlas that was easy runner up would be battlefield v

Either Battlefield 1 or Fallout 76 would be my guess. Have not played either but was considering it, until the universally negative reception came out (with Fallout, it seems like there's new controversy every week)

I think you mean Battlefield V.  Battlefield 1 is actually pretty good.

1. Atlas- Was promoted as a brand new, from the ground up pirate game, was actually a lazy, unoptimized pirate reskin of Ark: Survival Evolved

2. Ark: Survival Evolved Switch port- This game is just an absolute joke on Switch, it manages to look worse than an N64 game somehow with a poor framerate as well.

3. Battlefield V- EA/DICE going against the wishes of a huge portion of the fanbase by pushing a modern political agenda into a historical game, then actively mocking the potion of the fanbase who was unhappy. On top of that, they made controversial gameplay changes and didn't put in enough content at release.

4. Metal Gear Survive- Konami cashing in on a beloved franchise with a lazy multiplayer game after they chased it's creator away.

5. Fallout 76- While I personally enjoy the game, there is no doubt that it was rushed, needed another year of development before release.

Oops.

And agree, 1 was fun.

I'm gonna have to go back to 2017 because I'm pretty tuned to purchasing games I know I'll enjoy at this age. Personally. Yakuza Kiwami. It's a remake of the original Yakuza game that loses its identity because it's also a recycled Yakuza 0. It's just so redundant if you already played 0.
