You know there are countries with much worse gun problems than the US? Central and South America generally have much larger problems with gun related deaths and violence.

Yes, that's why we tend to compare USA to other developed nations. But USA's gun violence statistics is more comparable to 3rd world countries.
Meanwhile, in my state, the NRA is trying to get mental health requirements dropped for gun ownership. Three cheers for the NRA.
However, people yelling to "ban all guns" should just stop. It's not going to happen and it wouldn't be a very good idea, anyway, not unless there is some magic wand they can wave to suddenly remove all 70 million guns from the country. Concentrate on more realistic measures.

Sure, they can easily have 0 gun deaths in a year (compared to USA's 30.000+), but streets are crawling with people carrying ninja swords. They easily take out 50 people in one go. Happens every day.

Are you suggesting that unless we can stop all forms of violence, that gun control shouldn't happen?
