Forums - General Discussion - How often do you visit VGC?

How often do you come to VGC? (choose the answer that is closest to your AVERAGE usage over the last several months)

Almost never 2 2.33%

1-3 times per month 1 1.16%

Weekly 1 1.16%

2-3 times per week 3 3.49%

daily, or close to it 29 33.72%

A couple of times per day 34 39.53%

I obsessively check VGC a... 16 18.60%

Total:86

A lot less than before.

Sales data has become stale at the end of the generation and for some strange reason the alt right are all over the forum.

Around the Network

Almost all the time if i am near a device with internet.

Daily when i'm at work and when i have down time. A lot of it is lurking (because mobile) but I do check in quite often to see anything new.

Mostly after work in the evening i keep my laptop on and a tab open with vgchartz.

I login pretty much every day but most topics don't interest me due to all of the annoying political threads. This site used to be an escape for me but now... well it is what it is. It's been a rough year and my anxiety has been in overdrive so I'm mostly lurking.

Yeah i also feel less relaxed than i was before when visiting this site because the American split political climate has forced itself in here since the elections or so it seems.

We should try our best to find things to agree on instead of focusing on the bad and think others are evil because a perception of something is different, most people are played by media, some tend to behave like tools, but also most are just good people that want to think and do good.

Often daily, but I see the types of threads being posted, the content of the threads and the general drift toward mean spiritedness of the forum and I back away and wonder why I keep returning.

Around the Network

I'm a moderator so all day every day

Several times daily.

Before I signed up I was lurking around here for several years and it was way more entertaining than now. I wonder what are the reasons for it? Did certain entertaining users left or got permabanned? Did it hurt vgchartz that the numbers where for a while way behind? Is vgchartz less relevant due to digital sales? What do you think are the reasons? And those who know the good old days of this website what was better in those times?

I visit every day because I like the people on this site :) - I'm bored of my usual place of EuroGamer, they hardly have good discussions these days and their reviews are poor.

I've no idea what was better, but it was.

1. The political climate was rough but not overabundant.

2. Early in the generation, it was still exciting to see sales on the site. It was before the PS4 steamrolled the other consoles.

3. When a new system is announced, speculation and announcements make this site a lot more exciting.

4. The site had a few really major issues on the technical side that drove some of our better members away.

5 (and most important). Smeags

Was he referring to the beginning of this generation, though? When I think of the "good old days", I think of the Wii / PS3 / 360 days.
