Same. I can see them making them work on projects they don't exactly want to, as well as locking them to Win 10 store with zero mod support.
End of an era for them if it happens.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
R.I.P to Turn-based RPG games from Obsidian.....
I rather liked Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2 as well.
This is sad news, if their gonna make xbox exclusive games in the future and likely not the turn based story drive dungeons & dragons style rpgs...
for everyone.
I think this is bad news, as a fan of their latest works.
Great news!
I hope this happens and they'll be working on a Fallout New Vegas type a game.
No smoke without fire. This isn't exactly the first time this has come up.

Like I said before, as long as they have creative freedom then it's a fantastic idea.

Did you read the article?
"A person familiar with goings-on at Microsoft said the company has been looking to bolster its PC development, which makes the PC-focused Obsidian a perfect fit."

I don't mind this move, but Microsoft needs to go after GAAS games imo. Can you imagine if Microsoft bought rocket league and pubg out? That would be very huge.

But instead of makeing AA sized, turn based isometric rpgs (like pillars of eternity).... that go onto Steam + GoG.com
Now we ll get AAA sized action rpgs, that only go to windows store + xbox.... Atleast thats my fear (thats still a bolstered pc development).
