They leave out FF8 (the best in the series bar 10) again? WTF SE?

I'm with you, man! FFVIII is definitely the best in the franchise for me! I remember coming straight off of FFVII that THAT was probably my most hyped game of all-time! I don't think I will EVER be more hyped for a game ever again. And the fact that it didn't disappoint was something truly incredible. I even had the FFVIII playable demo with its original music.

Geez, the fact they didn't release this on HD yet is baffling. FFIX and skipping VIII??? Seriously WTF??? FFVIII was more popular anyway.

Im surprised at no World of Final Fantasy. I kept thinking how great it would be during my recent playthrough

Theres a new Chocobo game?

I'm hearing FFVIII has some legal issue attached to it which is why it's the only one not remastered at all. This is an interesting indicator of SE's future approach as they really want the userbase to catch up on the series, I doubt XV mainline will be ported but I wonder if this indicates VIIR could with it being on UE and the deve team restarting development from scratch earlier this year.

Care to share your source? I'd love to see the actual reason why (assuming it's not just SE being douchebags).

Plus if it's a legal issue then surely it can be paid away. If SE don't want to do it then they should start a kickstarter, I'd gladly pay into it if it meant FF8 getting ported around!

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

It's there. It's being re-released as World of Final Fantasy Maxima. OP just left out the first part of its name.

It's being discussed on a closed FF group on social media so you wouldn't be able view it apparently the's some issue with the game which is why it's not even remastered.

Yes, FF8 has legal issues. Namely "Eyes on Me"

So... just be like Rockstar when they lose music licences and patch it out of the game? Or technically remove it before porting, no patching needed.

No. "Eyes on me" is important in its own little way. I couldn't imagine the ending to FF8 without.

I just kind of don't feel the game would be the same without it.
