Honest question - I've played Beenox Spiderman games in the past, accidently I might say, since I got them for my kids...and they were ok-ish. I haven't watched much gameplay videos of this Spiderman, but from little that I've seen, it reminds me quite a bit of those games.

Can those who played those previous games tell me what are major enhancements/differences?

A lot if the game is VERY similar to those games. If you ask me, the differences are:

-Way better graphics

-Way better story and acting

-better swinging mechanics (opinion)

-a focus on improving your character's equipment

-a different, "more Spidey-like", take on Arkham giftingf system

-better characterization. Spidey is just really likeable and the people seen to appreciate him.

It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it takes that wheel and adds cheese and bacon to it. That's one tasty wheel!

Got a few glitches yesterday. One where a certain playable character was totally mute. I had to reset the system. Another where I was doing a challenge, chasing a drone. I got stuck under a fire escape. The camera went first person and I couldn't move. Nothing too bad. Just thought it was funny.

You can plat even getting only 1* in drone. For that you may only need to follow the blue line memorizing the path as a race and use L2+R2 and then X to be more precise and fast whenever your aim works well. This way you may even make 2* with consistency, can't say how to get 3* on this I didn't get any.

You actually need the 2nd tier(spectacular) to unlock the trophy for the drone and all other challenges and I got the 3rd tier for those by just getting all spheres at a faster time and yes, the R2+L2 plus X at the right moment is very helpful in the drone challenge.

You just need 2nd tier for one time on each type of challenge, you don't need it for all.

Man that doesn't make any sense. Some challenges give double amount the usual. And the game is classified as 2.5 difficult to plat on guides so something is wrong, perhaps you have put a lot of tokens on the useless weapon upgrade (I didn't even use them, I played it as if it was God of War, a lot of perfect dodge and combo without ever using the weapons kkkk, unless there were bonus on mission that needed it)

Dont really know, I'll check it out again.

But I have silver in all and gold in one and literally have 30 challenge tokens left to get... so even if I did spend it on stuff, you'd think design wise they'd have thought about that.

Well, I'm pretty sure you can platinum even if you have made all upgrades on gun and power, but probably will need gold in all, more troublesome, but possible. I doubt they have left it as you can't buy all upgrades and suits. Not that they need to grant everyone can get platinum anyway.

I got stuck inside a building and my char had all skin turned pitch black, seemed like reverse or negative world.

The stealth missions where you're not playing as Spiderman are trash and shouldn't really be in the game.

What you don't like knocking over stuff and avoiding boxes and glass?

I agree, though any time I get to play as Miles is fine by me so I was only slightly irked by those particular ones.

I kinda agree. I rather be flamboyant Spidey, dark Batman or stealth Snake, not a mix.

Yup, like I said,  I mean, there are only types of 4 challenges that unlock trophies after all.

Well the way you phrased it didn't seem like you were talking about only once for each category but ok we have an understanding.

Webswinging is a lot faster than in the PS2 game. Sometimes it can be so fast that its easy to lose momentum, and wind up walking through the street, or crawling on the side of a building. I've unlocked the ability to hit X twice in order to gain speed, and that has made it a lot easier to stay in the air. When finding backpacks, crimes, or other things on rooftops, I find myself drastically overshooting the landing zone. I wish there was a braking ability or something.

Not sure if this has been answered already, but press circle and down at the same time, it's actually called "Air Brake", lol
