It's terrible. 2 3.03%

I finished all side missions and a lot of the optional collectible missions well before completing the story, so went in to the last few missions at level 52 (after level 50, its just '50+' and you get very minor character improvements per level).

Meant I was a bit overpowered even on hard. New game plus might fix that, but I'd rarely replay a game these days.

Now the frustrating bit is whether to try and platinum the game. The biggest impediment is those challenges. Some of them are, well, challenging. Especially the drone ones. Unless someone has any tips I cannot see myself finishing them anytime soon without a tonne of effort I probably cannot be bothered with.

I love it, couldn't play it until I finish God Of War, now I wanna play all the time but I can't. That's why the Switch is so important, Spider-Man on the go would be absolutely wonderful.

Honest question - I've played Beenox Spiderman games in the past, accidently I might say, since I got them for my kids...and they were ok-ish. I haven't watched much gameplay videos of this Spiderman, but from little that I've seen, it reminds me quite a bit of those games.

Can those who played those previous games tell me what are major enhancements/differences?

You dont have to get the max points to get the trophy, just get to at least spectacular as well as the other challenges, learned the hardway as I went for the max points cause  I thought Taskmaster will only come out if I did it that way, plat'd it in just over 20hrs, just need a little patience and familiarize the pop ups of those blue spheres, they never change location anyways.

The only recommendation is learn how to use L2+R2 command with drone challenges.

The game is amazing, but still has some flaws. Why can't spidey duck behind something. Am I missing a button. He just stands there. you can squat on a pole yet duck behind a wall? The mostly automatic movement is also a bit hard to control in the drone missions as well as stealth missions.

And now I just read I might have screwed myself as I've been spending challenge tokens already :/

I don't mind the side missions, much preferable over cut scenes. The older I get the less patience I have to sit through them. So far I've cleaned up all the side stuff before going to the next main mission, says enough. I'm at 67% and the next mission is back to school I think. No thanks, I hated school, I'll clean up the challenges first.

He is a spider not a duck, duuuu. I don't think I ever stayed behind a wall for anything. I done my stealth all from high in the ground, but mostly I prefer the direct combat and meeleed them.

About the plat, stop spending the tokens, finish all taskmaster with 2* (try stealth and fight on 3* as they are very easy) and from there plan what else you may need to plat.

You can plat even getting only 1* in drone. For that you may only need to follow the blue line memorizing the path as a race and use L2+R2 and then X to be more precise and fast whenever your aim works well. This way you may even make 2* with consistency, can't say how to get 3* on this I didn't get any.

Think about it as arkham series but a lot more colorful and fun.

You actually need the 2nd tier(spectacular) to unlock the trophy for the drone and all other type of challenges and I got the 3rd tier for those by just getting all spheres at a faster time and yes, the R2+L2 plus X at the right moment is very helpful in the drone challenge.

Well, screw doing all that again. I have manuel saves but I guess the platinum won't be for me. Funny, that even if you 3 star all challenges there would be half enough tokens to go around.

Man that doesn't make any sense. Some challenges give double amount the usual. And the game is classified as 2.5 difficult to plat on guides so something is wrong, perhaps you have put a lot of tokens on the useless weapon upgrade (I didn't even use them, I played it as if it was God of War, a lot of perfect dodge and combo without ever using the weapons kkkk, unless there were bonus on mission that needed it)

Dont really know, I'll check it out again.

But I have silver in all and gold in one and literally have 30 challenge tokens left to get... so even if I did spend it on stuff, you'd think design wise they'd have thought about that.

A lot if the game is VERY similar to those games. If you ask me, the differences are:

-Way better graphics

-Way better story and acting

-better swinging mechanics (opinion)

-a focus on improving your character's equipment

-a different, "more Spidey-like", take on Arkham giftingf system

-better characterization. Spidey is just really likeable and the people seen to appreciate him.

It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it takes that wheel and adds cheese and bacon to it. That's one tasty wheel!

Got a few glitches yesterday. One where a certain playable character was totally mute. I had to reset the system. Another where I was doing a challenge, chasing a drone. I got stuck under a fire escape. The camera went first person and I couldn't move. Nothing too bad. Just thought it was funny.
