You have any evidence that the rest of the world is so much different? Or was your post just your personal hopes/wishes based entirely on your dislike of Xbox/playstation?

Pretty much this. Everyone who only owns a Nintendo console will miss 90%+ of all the other amazing video games.

Nintendo consoles always were primary consoles.

If you want the best of the best, you gotta get Nintendo, then if you want to play sports games and stuff you get another system.

That's true but until Sony launched their Playstation 1 which became the number one console worldwide. Since then Playstation has been the home of console gaming. Playstation 4 is the primary console for gaming nowadays.

This is where Nintendo is smart. Switch can live alongside eithe console and thrive. XBOX One and PS4 are very much alike.

Yes! I remember lots of people were saying that it will be hard for the Switch to compete with PS4 and Xbox One, since a lot of people already own 1 of them.

But as we can see here, it can coexist easily. In fact, it was infavor for the switch that it released a couple years after the 2. Soooo gamers dont have to decide between 1 or the other. They can get both.

It is relative for some people in regards on what console they primarily play on. Some like me mostly play on my Switch because its easy to setup, I already have games ready to play, and I can play it while someone is using the TV. With the limited time I have, I don't usually get a chance to sit on the couch and play games on the TV.

That's actually power of Switch, it offers different experience (full handheld mode and local multiplayer even in tabletop mode) and different enough games (great Nintendo games) compared to PS4/XB1, so not just than coexist on market with PS4/XB1 and where plenty of PS4/XB1 owners will also buy Switch, but Switch will easily outsell XB1.
In same time thats also reason why even PS5/XB2 will not effect too much on Switch success, popularity and sales, Switch will even than contine to offer different experience and different games compared to competition.

Nintendo was very smart going with hybrid instead of home console in middle of generation.

So basically, they confirm what we always knew...

Don't care much about what the switch has to offer so I don't have one. I have my PS4 for pretty much for every current game releasing and I've been satisfied for 2 years and still going. Will be buying a switch for Bayonetta 3 though
