I actually mentioned this on the PS Nation thread. YongYea does a good job covering it and even includes the clip where Yamauchi literally told a fan that there wouldn't be microtransactions in the game when asked about it. There is really no excuse.

wait GT Sport got a full campaign progress mode type thing now? racing through ranks with unlocking events via some collectible rank I mean (not asking for oscar winning story here, it's a racing game) Just that the game is on sale and was thinking about it to have another racer on the PS4 along with the amazing Driveclub and NFS

Because it's lack of content at launch left a bad impression and other racers like Forza has been eating it's lunch.

Polyphony is in a spot with the media where no matter what they do, they are just not gong to get the recognition they deserve. I have just moved on and accepted it. GT has been, and still is the best racing game, and car enthusiast game on the market. Just enjoy it, and let the mainstream media continue their nonsense.

I enjoy GT Sport more and more with each update. Now that they are letting us buy cars with real money, I can start enjoying it even more. I only use it for the VR mode, so being able to access more cars without having to waste my time with non VR content is alright in my book.

Better racing game maybe that pretty much comes down to personal preferences.  Better game for car enthusiast absolutely not Forza has consistently added better and more sought after cars then GT since FM4 in pretty much every car type and class and from all time periods. 

Have you missed all the convos I have had with him where he just ignore all arguments and logic, and will spin to another non-issue ad infinitum.

I'm terribly sorry that this has been the impression you have been passing of GT since GT5.

When I made this topic it wasn't known. But having played the game post update it hasn't affected my enjoyment a bit.

The loot crates in FM 7 didn't affect my enjoyment either, but their paid DLCs did. Polyphony makes free DLCs so they are better in business practices.

Forza 7 is horribly bad when it comes to online. GT Sport is absolutely the best online racer on consoles, with a decent campaign and the best graphics for a console racing game.

Considering a lot of races are limited to a single car, or to a class of car with performance points balancing, even with microtransaction (which I don't like, but if people want to expend extra money to not play the game, there is a lot of games that offer it) the balance won't be broken unless PD start doing unbalanced performance balancing which would be a bigger problem than the microtransaction.

Does that really matter when Forza has 700+ plus cars on disc (plus a couple here and there they give for free) ?

Despite all the free dlc, GT sport still stands at 237 cars. How did the paid dlc affect your enjoyment? 

also my issue is with the outright lies, not the implementation of the mt's, to be clear.
