I never really was into the whole Sonic 2D platform racer aspect..... I much rather be playing a Mario game then. |
Yeah. I get where you're coming from. It always felt like I had more control over Mario in his 2D games.

Or at least make Switch the lead platform. It makes no sense for the best selling version of your game to be as hacked down as Forces on Switch was. |
What makes you think it was hacked down? It's the Switch. It will get the worst version every single time.

From what IGN speculates, it might be Nintendo, not Sega, who wants to sell the games individually through their Virtual Console.

Or people who play the other two consoles are too narrow minded.

What other games feature blue hedgehogs? |
Sonic racing games which are better than most mainline Sonics and super smash bros.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Some downgrades are of course inevitable, but the Switch version of Forces took it too far. It looked worse than Sonic Lost World on Wii U but ran at half the framerate. Switch may be weaker than PS4/Xbone, but it's not that weak.
Switch is the lead platform in sales, so it should be the lead platform in development, it's only logical.

Sonic Forces is what we’re talking about here though. I’m just wondering - how do poor games sell so well on the Switch? Add 1-2 Switch to the list.

Well, there is no way to compare objectively, since Lost World wasn't released as a multiplatform barring the Steam release which in itself is a port. I kinda feel there is more going on in Forces, though. It certainly plays a lot faster.
