That's way too much. It's an old game, and a disappointing one after Returns. It also offers little longevity.

But I can't imagine Nintendo pricing it $60, I'm sure it'll be $30 or $40.

Much higher chances are that price will be $60 instead $30, there is no single one Nintendo console game that has price point of $30 or lower if we don't count Nintendo Selects Line. Actualy all Nintendo Switch games exept of 1-2 Switch thats $50, have price point of $60.

Because many people will buy it at $60 anyway, so why wouldn't they sell it for $60. If it literally means Ninteno making more money.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

It's still a great game that most players haven't played, that likely pushes the Switch in a couple of ways.

More importantly, it's still the latest iteration of the franchise. It's "current" in several uses of the word.

I don't believe that the age of a couple years by itself is any reason it ought to be cheaper.

Tropical Freeze launched on the Wii U at fifty dollars...
I consider Tropical Freeze to be among the best Wii U games, but that price doesn't seem right...

Have a nice day...

because nintendo fans buy it for that price, simple.

Doesn't seem too steep to me, gonna get it.

Because Nintendo isn't generous with their pricing model, they could choose to throw the customer a bone considering they're selling an almost identical 4 year port.

They'd rather sell less games at full price, then more at a cheaper price. Because Mario Kart 8 was still going for £45 in the UK, I skipped other Switch games I was tempted by like Splatoon 2 and Arms. If Mario Kart 8 was $30 as a 5 year old port should be, I would have picked up another for Christmas.

Amazing game, but I own it on Wii U and there aren't enough extras to double dip at that price. I say that already owning Bayonetta 1+2 and double dipping for the Switch port (Bayonetta deserves the be a more successful franchise).

The real problem is not the $60 ports.

It's that after a few years, just like most of Nintendo First Party games, it will remain at $60.

I really doubt that. The Switch version will also be a Nintendo Select title in a few years, probably sooner than later.

The game isn't any worse than Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey, so price shouldn't make people hold off. Whether it will cost $50 or $60, it's a must-buy for anyone who missed it on Wii U.

Tropical Frezze is not even as good as the most boring shrine in BotW, let alone in the same ballpark to the whole game.
