But its not, I think you didn't read Kerotan posts, PS4 sales in Japan are "amazing". :D

I guess we will probably find out tomorrow when Switch sells 5-10x better than PS4, regardles that I expecting more threads that "proves" how PS4 sales are amazing in Japan, how Switch dont effects on PS4 sales in Japan, and how much important is Japan market for Sony.

Sony and third parties generally target Q1 and Q2 for ps4 sales of Japanese targeted software. 

Thats not stupid at all especially when your talking about 2016 holiday so much with FFXV.

That said sony tends to have stronger Q1 than nintendo going by trends, but dont make excuses for having a bad Q4 lineup. If anything then its stupid on them for letting go the most important quarter of the year wouldnt you agree?

Look at Western Devs. COD/AC/Battlefield/etc is all launched in Q4. Fifa being a Sept release is smart for it, but not having games for holidays (japan in this case) isnt that smart tbh. COD is the biggest seller for the holidays for the ps4 vs SMO/USUM/Splat2/Botw/etc.

I honestly don't know if it's stupid or not. Sony still by decent holiday sales anyway but they also get a really good q1 and q2 thanks to this tactic. 

Stupid or not Sony don't have any ips that will drastically affect sales in the holiday or not. 

They are dependant on titles like FFXV , DQ11 , MHW rtf releasing in December if they are to get an unnaturally big holiday bump. There's obviously logic behind MHW and DQ11 not releasing at Christmas.  

FFXV released in December because SE were desperate to get it out during the holiday for the west. Nothing to do with Japan. 

The data I presented proves nothing? lol. Also, bold proves my point right? West has suitable games for the PS4 while Japan in Q4 doesn't have suitable games for it.
Also, do you think Japanese gamers will buy because Switch is a home console? You should know that it is handheld as well which we both know is very huge in Japan. That is not the selling point of Switch.  This is what I hate about this topic. Some of you uses the handheld and Home console when it's convenient for your argument.

On Paragraph 3. Are you sure only some of 3DS user are upgrading and mostly all the people buying it are choosing between PS4 and Switch?
Can you show me data to prove this?

Paragraph 4. Thank you for proving my point. Historically speaking and according to you a fact which we both agree. Nintendo console tends to sell better in the holidays as opposed to Sony cconsole. 2016 for the PS4 is an anomaly because it had a great line-up when it entered the holiday season. PS4 tends to be weaker on the holiday because of their weak line-up. So again thank you for proving my point. I appreciate it. 
Also about your other argument please show me the receipt that it is their first Nintendo Console. 

West always have more suitable games than PS4 in Japan in any case, for each quarter, so that's not situation just for this quarter, and that's actually one of reasons why PS4 is not selling so much better than PS3 in Japan like its seelling in rest of world where is selling almost twice better. Some people that prefer home console can buy Switch of course, because Switch is home console also in same time, it's appealing to handheld and home consoles lovers in same time, that wasn't case for instance for 3DS, but offcourse that home console part has bigger effect on west compared to Japan.

Talking about effect, I think that Switch started affecting on PS4 sales mostly in November and that will effect in December also.

OF course that not all 3DS owners want to upgrade to $300 Swift currently, second I never said that "mostly all the people buying it are choosing between PS4 and Switch" just that some people definitely are choosing between PS4 and Switch. You dont need any data for that, thats common sense, and I cant gave you data for that, but fact is that there are plenty people for which Switch is their first Nintendo console in long time (in couple of generations) or even first Nintendo console ever. Point that you wanted to made that just Nintendo fans are buying Switch is totaly wrong.

Talking about 4. paragraph, Sony consoles tends to be weaker compared to Nintendo platforms in Japan during holiday, but Sony also have better sales during December compared to previous months, and last 3 weeks PS4 sales are basicly same, only around 25k even we entering in December (it will be intresting to see tomorow numbers for last week sales). 

Yes that's the point west always has a suitable games for the PS4 that's why it's not surprising it will have a massive BF week or even up YOY. It's funny you are still using it as your main source of argument because PS4 down is down YOY.

Let's just be clear. Your main argument is Switch sales right now is having a negative effect on PS4 sales. I presented you data that PS4 is selling like PS4. 
How can PS4 Q4 2017 (ffxv, Yakuza 6, Last guardian, SD gundam, COD, Fate game, Pro Launch and Slim's first holiday) will beat Q4 2016 ( COD, GTS, Yakuza Kiwami 2 and MHW pro LE). PS4 had a strong Q4 last year. That's why it is down. Are you insuanating that it doesn't have an effect on why it is down? Also, are you telling us that having only, GTS and COD on Q4 currently doesn't have an effect on it's sales?
You are not addressing it and keep dodging this valid point.

If your main argument revolves because it's down YOY.  You have to take a look on why it's down in the first place from last year.
Also, don't ignore that it's still up YTD. 

Show me a receipt on all the things you are claiming because PS4 in it's 4th year already which you are forgetting. 
I even provide you data so you can see sales trend of the PS4. Sales spiked whenever there's a notable games. So don't keep on dodging all the valid points that I presented and moved the goal post whenever I point it out to you.

The bold is all you have "you think" with out any data to back it up.

But thats point PS4 is selling like last year in Japan while evre new year PS4 was selling better than previous, thats why this year will be easily best selling PS4 year from launch in world, while thats not certain only for Japan market.

I dont ignore that still YTD and it will be interesting to see if will at end of year PS4 will be up, down or flat YOY compared to last year, while it was noticeable up YOY in every other market before BF deals. But point that last 3 weeks PS4 is around 25k without any improvements doesn't look good, it will be intresting to see tomorow sales.

But I don't need data to back up for such obvious things, of course there are people that will choose between two consoles, ofcourse there Switch buyers that are not Nintendo fans, ofcourse that not only 3DS owners are buying Switch. Like I wrote, we even here on site had several threads buy people that having Nintendo console for first time ever or that they didn't had one couple of generations.+
