I've played Pokémon Moon in January.

Fire Emblem Fates, Fire Emblem Valentia, Etrian Odyssey V, Culdcept Revolt, Pokemon Moon.
I still need Bravely Second. Considering Ever Oasis and Samus Returns.
Finished Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward a while ago and currently playing Pullblox and Phoenix Wright Trilogy: Trials and Tribulations.
Metroid: Samus Returns, Dragon Quest VII, Dragon Quest VIII, Super Mario Maker, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, and Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia. I haven't done Act 6 of Valentia, I was hoping the DLC would get reduced at some point so I could go back to it, do the DLC and the 'post-story' content.
Yoshi's Wooly World, Dragon Quest 8 3DS, Blaster Master Zero. For 2017 games.
Getting: Pokemon US/UM, Mario Party: The Top 100, Yokai Watch 2, the new 3DS FE game, Metroid: SR, Hey! Pikmin
Got this year: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Devil Survivor 1&2, Pokemon Gold, Attack of the Friday Monsters, Mega Man Legacy Collection, and a ton more I can't recall off the top of my head

Metroid: Samus Returns. Beat it. Loved it.
Hey! Pikmin. Beat it. It was ok.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Got maybe halfway through and got really bored of it. I think I'm just done with this series. Its just not fun to play anymore.
Layton Mysteries: Long Subtitle. Havent played it yet.
For games that released this year, I got Fire Emblem Echoes, Ever Oasis, Monster Hunter Stories and Miitopia. I have only finished Fire Emblem. Probably gonna finish MHStories next.

I Absolutely love the 3ds. Bought a switch and still haven't played it that much, now I'm Gonna buy Super Mario Oddisey and that will change everything. Don't play DQ7, it's strictly for fans of the franchise. It's quite long and repetitive, I'm loving it so far but I accept it's not a game for anyone. 8 is much more recommendable. I'm 75 hours in on 7, and it seems I still have 20 to 30 hours ahead to finish it... After this I'll play either Hey Pikmin or Metroid SR, I need an action oriented game after so much reading lol.
| AngryLittleAlchemist said: What 3DS games are you playing in 2017? Which do you plan to buy? What games have you bought? Do you have a back-catalog you are looking to finish on the 3DS? Have you picked up any (fairly) new releases? I am sad to hear that many have already abandoned the system. Granted the Switch is amazing but there is plenty of software being released for the 3DS that is interesting and worthy of merit. For me : Right now i'm playing Etrian Odyssey V and two hours in I really enjoy it! It's my first "dungeon crawler". It's basic, which seems to be a theme with dungeon crawlers. It's also a tad repetitive, again another thing common in these games supposedly. But the simplicity of it does not diminish the nice presentation. I spent like 30 minutes making my characters. I think the game would kind of crash under it's wait in the beginning if it wasn't for the soundtrack. Really entertaining and helps pull together the game and stop it from feeling like a chore. Overall really fun title and I expect it to be better as I continue |
*Wipes tear from eye* Normally I ignore your posts because we don't get along. But Goddamnit, I'm so fucking happy you decided to give this series a shot!
IMO Etrian Odyssey IV is much better. It has an open explorable world with an airship. You can cross class allowing your character to have access to half the skill points of another class. You can send a single party member out to grind alone, letting you catch up in levels with other party members. There's an item you can buy that keeps low level monsters away from your party. There's a few more classes overall.
