Forums - Sales - Global Weekly, 27th May 2017, Hardware and Software

I think it's clear that VGC is overtracking PS4 sales in the last few weeks to compensate the undertracking of the previous weeks that left it way below the official numbers. Remember guys, it has to reach 60.4M in June 11th.

Numbers! Total weekly has PS4 at close to 3-1 over the XBO. Ow. Horizon holds off BOTW for one more week. Still a close race, but that should be all she wrote. GTA V continues to be a sweet little indie darling sales surprise. Most surprising: Darkstalkers Warmastered is finally out of the top 75 after it's legendary run.

4:1 you mean? Its insane of how well its selling outside the holliday season.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Europe is doing so much work for the PS4, very nice.

Yup. However you disperse the numbers though, they've had a phenomenal first 6 months. Lets see if they can ship another 18 million scheduled by April.

i don't beleve those ps4 numbers in Japan and Europe but VG must catch the 60,2 m ps4 for the next 15 days
and then ps4 goes low right? I want to see this month that gold and silver ps4 is 250$

60,4m and usually it takes abit to collect sales data, so numbers for june 11th, are probably atleast a week before hand.

If the first week into June VGC isnt at 60,4m then thats how much VGC is undertracking it by.

"then ps4 goes low right?"

Actually sales in may didnt look nearly as strong as the ones in June did (going by amazon).

June should be "higher", though it looks like so far into July things are back down abit (we re only 6days into it).

Yeah the gold & silver 1tb limited editions at 249$ where a huge hit.

PS4 had 4SKUs in the top100 during most of may (with 2-3 SKU's above the Switch). Im curious to see what kinda numbers they did.

So how many Switches have been sold at this point, something like 4 million? The wii u was about 3.5 million in the first 3 months. It doesn't seem like a world of difference at this point in actual ownership of the console even if the wii u had retailers saturated with consoles and the Switch has customers waiting for their console. I thought optimistically we might have seen up to 6 million at this point and then a downturn as Nintendo had satisfied their main fanbase. It still seems like millions more are needed just to get to that point.

Seems like the stock situation in uk is back to being partially stocked with many Argos stores having neon Switches and a few online retailers with non scalper prices.

according to this site, Switch is at 4.1 million in 3 months while Wii U was closer to 2.5 million and didnt hit 4 million until it was on the market for a full year.

Indeed, the numbers are great. I just wonder how well it will sell if they retail the Slim for 199 during BF/Holidays with a game packed in.

At this point in Wii U's life it had a baseline of sub-30k. Switch, even with supply issues, has a baseline of around 150k; more than five times higher.

The two aren't remotely close, Switch is performing massively better.
