There's a stupid tumor, probably from 4chan, that the next Smash Bros will be a 3D fighter instead of a 2D one. There's no way Nintendo would allow such a risky change to one of their top selling franchises.

I would be fully in favor of that honestly.

I love Smash, but I don't think there's too much room for improvement on Ultimate. Only thing the could really do is introduce more characters, and they may not be able to add much beyond what Ultimate offered. A 3D version is more interesting to me.

I think Nintendo would absolutely be willing to take that risk especially if Ultimate gets a native version on Switch 2 with better graphics, a few more characters, and a few more stages, spirits, music, etc.

A 3D Fighting Smash with a cool campaign and about 35-45 characters would be refreshing.

Why are we still vetting this guy after he lost his source and it's access to Nintendo back end info on Directs ?

Appart from piggy backing on leakers, he hasn't done anything Nintendo since that happened.

That man has a 100% accuracy rate even after his “source” got “booted”. Nintendo hasn’t quenched the flame of Pyoro just yet…

He's said nothing of value that wasn't reported by other sources since he got busted. Or else it's just the same samey criptic telltales that could mean anything.

No time to waste with him anymore.

Seems like the problems are more aesthetic than anything else. If you feel weird playing it then don't play it. *Shrug*

Its pretty much everything. I like the characters. Thats about it.

Considering you did say that you had a much better time with The Forgotten Land despite the fact it doesn't deviate much from the formula of the 2D games, don't know what I can say otherwise. I guess that's pretty much a you thing.

But hey, it's fine. Not everything can be to one's taste.

Still recommend Planet Robobot nonetheless since I think it's the biggest departure of the usual Kirby themes in the series if that's what you're searching for.

Honestly, feels like it's just not your style, and you're trying to come up with some kind of objective grounding for your opinion. Which is unnecessary. It's fine if something just isn't your cup of tea. Plenty of games that other people love which just don't jive me.

So a Powerstone like game? Yeah, I dont see that happening either.

A spinoff would be cool.

Edit: Unless you mean 3D like Tekken, but Pokken exists so likely a spinoff like Pokken assuming its true.

Forgotten Land has great level design. Works well for Kirbys powers. The whole post-apocalyptic theme of it is interesting and works so well with the very colorful characters. Good bosses and the mouthful mode is great. I dont know. The 3D one works for me and the 2D ones just dont.(except for Kirbys Epic Yarn) I havent played Planet Robobot, but I have seen some gameplay and it looks like more of the same. Just with a mech suit. Maybe if they port it to the Switch Ill check it out.
