Finally have my Switch 2. The boost mode for Switch 1 games is great : I tried "Astral Chain", "Bayonetta 2" and "Fire Emblem : Three Houses". Only game that doesn't fully "have" it is MLB The Show 26. Let's hope that there will be a MLB The Show 27 for Switch 2 and not only Switch 1.

Welcome to the club! Which Switch 2 games have you picked up/interested in?

Oh! And lastly, Yoshi previews are out and impressions are way more positive than I was anticipating!! I was planning on skipping since Bubsy 4D launches the same day, but perhaps I’ll consider purchasing.

It’s a game with little emphasis on traditional platforming— no losing lives, no taking damage. Just exploration and taking in the vistas. Very distinct take on the 2D platformer genre, with a lot of potential to be a Switch 2 classic. Game also looks gorgeous according to previews.

Speaking of Bubsy, it has a demo out today on Switch 1/2; I'm downloading it now.

Pokopia persistent cloud islands could be a very interesting addition to the next Animal Crossing.

It would be nice to be able to share a town with friends rather than each having a town of your own and only visiting. I think it'd make the multiplayer in AC a lot better as I've always found it lacking in that area.

Obviously AC titles have had multiple people in one town before but only locally on the same console. With cloud saves online it would be much better.

Fire Emblem : Fortune's Weave of course ! And I will see what other games there will be but I'm already busy with many games from the first Switch

Fair enough. :) One benefit of the Switch 2 is that it can give Switch 1 games a big boost in performance.

Holy cow, Tomodachi Life moved through 500k in JP retail alone during launch week! This game must’ve launched to at least 2-3 million WW. Very impressive results!

In other news: Orbitals got a new 4 minute gameplay showcase. And Yoshi & the Mysterious Book just received its overview trailer. It's almost as if we got our own little Mini-Direct this week!

Was it big on the 3DS?

This is one of these franchises that I was totally unaware of until the Switch 2 announcement

Hey all. Maybe this is what people call a "shameless plug"... but I really am curious what your thoughts are on this thread I have typed up: To Direct or Not To Direct. What Should Nintendo Do Next? It's a discussion on the pros and cons of routinely Nintendo Direct presentations versus a slow-yet-steady flow of information, as a means to reveal upcoming Nintendo product.

I would really appreciate if you gave my thoughts some consideration, and respond with your own stance on the matter. :) I think it's a neat topic.

Pokemon Pokopia was a HUGE system seller for the Switch 2. It had its 3rd best month in MARCH!

  1. June 2025 - 5.41M
  2. December 2025 - 3.45M
  3. March 2026 - 1.77M
  4. November 2025 - 1.70M

Aww, I thought you meant an Animal Crossing where you could have buildings on clouds. -_-
