*screaming with rage after being unable to kill the Omega Griever in Metroid Prime 4*

What's crazy to me is that digital is likely what makes up an overwhelming majority of sales, being only a $5USD upgrade for NS1 owners (or full priced if you don't already own ACNH) whereas physical is full price. Animal Crossing has some beefy legs, no doubt about that. Curious to see how this will impact NS1 version's sales figures.

Picked up Alien Rogue Incursion on a whim just cos it was cheap and I really like the IP; it's actually a pretty good little game so far; it is relatively low budget, and its VR roots are evident, but there's real effort behind it and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Was it made for the 40th anniversary of Aliens?

Don't think so, it came out for VR in 2024, then got a non-VR port to PC, Xbox Series, and PS5 last year, looks like it just took a bit longer to port it to Switch 2.

Flashback to shortly after I got a Wii U, when I was so poor I didn't have a TV cabinet and used my fridge as one

Lol funny coincidence, that's the exact same fridge I had in my room during undergrad. Only difference was that mine was black.

Also: Just played through the demo of Yooka Replaylee, and yeah, I'm convinced that I need to consider purchasing more third-party games for this system. The game runs wonderfully! The fidelity mode was a miserable experience... I genuinely considered refunding my physical copy. But seeing the performance patch in the demo, I'll stick to it.

S2 version announced along with the new expansion.
