Lol funny coincidence, that's the exact same fridge I had in my room during undergrad. Only difference was that mine was black. Also: Just played through the demo of Yooka Replaylee, and yeah, I'm convinced that I need to consider purchasing more third-party games for this system. The game runs wonderfully! The fidelity mode was a miserable experience... I genuinely considered refunding my physical copy. But seeing the performance patch in the demo, I'll stick to it. |
Yeah I got this one when I was a Uni student and living in a dorm too haha
There's some really good third party stuff on Switch 2; RE Requiem, Pragmata, FF7R, Cyberpunk 2077, etc. Yooka Laylee at 60fps is a night and day improvement, in my book as well, makes it much more enjoyable.

For anybody looking for Splatoon Raiders at $50USD: Walmart is offering free shipping AND a $10USD discount on the physical copy. Just snagged my copy, get your’s while you still can!

Oh nice; I'm in the wrong country, but good for those who have access.
Here in Australia it's $100 at EB Games, ($71 USD) or $89 at JB Hifi. ($64 USD)

Finally got unstuck in Kena after taking a break due to getting stuck on a tricky boss.
So that's another game still on the pile, and I also haven't finished Pragmata or Starship Troopers yet, or even started Fatal Frame.
It's nice to be spoiled for choice, after the lean years of the Wii U I'll never take having plenty of games for granted.

Ouch! I fear to ask how expensive games such as Mario Tennis Fever and MKWorld would be for you… I could not imagine dropping an equivalent to $100USD on a Mario Tennis game. (And I love Mario Tennis!)
Pragmata really starting to open up now as more abilities are made available to unlock, the game is in an unique spot where it's a Sci-fi action title but plays more like a survival horror and has rpg aspects integrated into it.

Oomphf! That’s awful lol.
Also: I am back with my typical end-of-Saturday gaming thoughts. Just finished Kirby and the Forgotten Lands + Star-Crossed Worlds… that was a very fun time! Over 30hr put into the game. This might just be the easiest game I’ve ever played, but I had a blast nonetheless.
Got all statues (for both the base game and DLC), got all the Waddle Dees and Starries, finished all the arenas, beat all the Goal Times in those mini-levels, and… whatever else you can think of, I’ve probably beaten that as well.
Decided against Yooka Replaylee for today— I’m a little bit fatigued on modern games. So I was planning on playing Kirby Superstar for SNES (first playthrough!) but somehow ended up at Sonic Forces… which um yeah I don’t know if I want to continue playing this game next weekend. It’s quite stale. At the very least, it’s made me really appreciate all the extremely fun games I’ve played recently haha!

Yeah it's pretty brutal here in Aus for gaming; a base PS5 costs $1000 ($715 USD) and a PS5 Pro costs a whopping $1400 ($1000 USD)
I loved Kirby and the Forgotten Land, one of my fav games of 2022. The Star Crossed Worlds DLC was a fun bonus as well, the game really feels great at 60fps.
