Also leaks are not inevitable just because you didn't announce a game a year in advance. See Rhythm Heaven... so if Nintendo can do anything to get a more secure fix on the situation, then power to them

It's not unreasonable to want to know what games are coming to the new console you just bought and when.

If you wait too long to show your hand, you run the risk of the surprise being spoiled; if the recent leaks are legit then it's Nintendo bought it on themselves for not acting sooner.

Agree to disagree, I suppose. Also, I want to add that I did delete my previous comment— it felt a bit too mean. I’m sorry about that. I really shouldn’t be so aggressive nor hateful toward others on this site, esp not you.

@Otter Why did you respond to Curl like four times in a row?

It's pretty self-explanatory, what is it you want to say?

It's Nintendo's own fault for being too secretive tbh, they've had months to surprise us with announcements, this is what can happen if you wait too long.

^This.

No offence but as mentioned a while back the is an addiction to hype in online circles and this addiction isn't necessarily logical, games don't need to be revealed because you want them to be they need to be more strategically unveiled and the secrecy is for more impact upon reveal a key example of this is Twilight Princess' reveal the reaction to it was amplified but how much of a surprise it was. They don't need to surprise you now with anything because the are releases happening now and an active schedule is in progress whether the games are to your liking or not.

Hey guys does anyone know when the Nintendo quarterly report tis?

I think by May 3, they still need to organize all the data, and the previous report was February 3.

That's not what I said; a year+ is excessive.

So when a leaker leaks details of Mario which isn't due til 2027 how is that Nintendo's fault?

Equally if Zelda/Star Fox are holiday titles why is it essential they have been announced in Q1 of 2026? Practically speaking you are suggesting that once it's under a year, leaking becomes pretty fair game

That wouldn't be Nintendo's fault.

According to the leak, if it's legit, then Starfox is a (Nth Hemisphere) summer game, so coming in the next few months.

Holiday games not being announced yet makes sense, but when you wait until just a few months out to reveal something, you assume the risk of it leaking out and if it does, it's your own fault for not acting sooner.
