That wouldn't be Nintendo's fault.

According to the leak, if it's legit, then Starfox is a (Nth Hemisphere) summer game, so coming in the next few months.

Holiday games not being announced yet makes sense, but when you wait until just a few months out to reveal something, you assume the risk of it leaking out and if it does, it's your own fault for not acting sooner.

We won't agree on this and I don't respect your stance. Developer hands should not be forced nor blamed for the actions of leakers. Games should be able to be announced 4months ahead of time without being spoiled, just like Split Fiction was at the game awards ahead of it's March release or just like how they Shadow dropped Metroid Prime Remastered.

I'll just end by saying that I hope Nintendo is able to tighten the leaks so they're able create the special moments of surprising audiences at whatever pace they as the makers of the work feel appropriate.

If there is a strong demand for transparency and information and Nintendo won't meet it, that opens the door for other sources to supply said demand.

Nintendo have had months to reveal their plans, if they wanted to surprise people then they should've have moved sooner, they knew the risks.

People really like these cozy life sims, huh? I remember watching Poofesure and his Tomodachi Life series… that was from August 2019 all the way through until Fall 2022. I have fond memories of watching Tomodachi Life! Never played it myself however. Maybe I’ll pick LtD if ever it goes on sale.

Also: Tomodachi Life LtD had a dev cycle of NINE YEARS?! What?!! [Source: Nintendo “Ask the Developers” Vol 21.]

I am NOT trying to bring politics into this thread, my only comment is with the way the world is escaping into a peaceful world probably appeals to a lot of people right now (same as animal crossings perfect timing with covid)

Just finished Mario Galaxy 2 with all the stars. Still probably my favorite game ever. Remembered the last being a bit tougher.

Suppose you park your car in a area known for car thefts and don't lock the door. Your car gets stolen.

Does this justify the actions of the car thief? No.

Should you have locked your door? Yes.

Likewise, leaks are a known risk. The longer you hold out on announcing the more likely your anouncement is to be spoiled. It's not right, but it's reality.
