For those who are waiting for rhythm heaven, i recommend checking out sayonara wild hearts as well. Its a great trippy rhythm game with a somewhat similar vibe.

Funny that you bring up “Things to do while we wait for Rhythm Heaven”… I actually just set up the entire franchise on my PC. Rhythm Tengoku (English fan translation), Rhythm Heaven (DS), and Rhythm Heaven Fever. Plan to have the whole franchise run through before Groove launches.

The games are all quite short from what I’ve heard, so shouldn’t be too hard to get caught up in the meantime.

Get them good,  I much miss the days where we actually had surprises!

It's Nintendo's own fault for being too secretive tbh, they've had months to surprise us with announcements, this is what can happen if you wait too long.

[deleted.] (eh… there’s already enough hate on the internet. I feel bad about my words in the OG comment. My bad.)

Lol Curl just go and play your backlog. You don’t know what meal you’re gonna be eating in eight months from now, so why are video games any different? Don’t be such a (and I hate to use this word to refer toward you…I really do respect ya) “whiney enthusiast”— I can assure you, it makes gaming a whole lot more fun when you focus on the present instead of always the future. It’s not like we’re in a genuine drought like Wii U 2013, we have a game releasing every three weeks (alongside what is essentially a new major product/update dropping every week).

It's not unreasonable to want to know what games are coming to the new console you just bought and when.

If you wait too long to show your hand, you run the risk of the surprise being spoiled; if the recent leaks are legit then it's Nintendo bought it on themselves for not acting sooner.

I will add that I am mostly fine myself as I do have plenty to play, but I do get the frustration some folks feel at the ongoing radio silence.

So everything has to be revealed a year+ before launch otherwise it deserves to get leaked?

I expect better logic from you lol

There's nothing wrong with revealing a game 6months before launch or waiting to get a more concrete sense of launch before revealing said game.

There is something wrong with spoiling how a team/publisher wants to reveal their game to the world. A game they've poured years and years of effort into.

And this is coming from Someone (myself)* who thinks S2 should of had a big blowout at its reveal, teasing it's first 2 years of big software. I l would've liked more hype for S2 but I'm not about to defend leakers

That's not what I said; a year+ is excessive.

So when a leaker leaks details of Mario which isn't due til 2027 how is that Nintendo's fault?

Equally if Zelda/Star Fox are holiday titles why is it essential they have been announced in Q1 of 2026? Practically speaking you are suggesting that once it's under a year, leaking becomes pretty fair game
