Sounds like a significant FPS improvement on Switch and a minor FPS improvement on Wii U from what Gaf is saying.

Sweet mother of god! I finally had framerate issues today too in the Goron area.
Hmm lets see.
Joy-con issues fixed
Zelda fps issues much improved
I could swear someone said they wouldn't get fixed or something along those lines
Either ways, yessss

Ran through a bunch of areas. Villages seem better (specially Kakriko), Korok Forest was solid (but to be completely honest, I never had/noticed issues there), the Plateu seemed almost literally the same as before, maybe improved, maybe not. Overall improved, but it isn't anything to praise Nintendo for. Moblin's stuttering glitch is still there. I'm playing Wii U version.
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Edit: I opened the gaf thread, and the Wii U version was patched as well! Why do people always ignore the Wii U? Oh wait |
I was only going off the tweet, which only mentioned the Switch version haha.

You don't have to help your kids get back on track after they've lost all their weapons and are stuck with a torch and a pot lid. "Stop hitting rocks and throwing weapons around, weapons are very delicate items, definately not as sturdy as your cheap mass produced foam toy sword."
After I found the Korok dude it wasn't a big deal to me either anymore. The first 80 hours with 8 weapon slots did get annoying.
The update came just after finishing the game doh. I only noticed slowdown in Korok forest and when Moblins go into ragdoll mode.

How old will be Zelda when I find her finally?

I honestly don't get this criticism either. I have a swag of weapons at all times, half of which I keep for boss/ mini boss battles and barely use. I then cycle through the remaining weaker weapons, and keep a decent stock of arrows. I generally operate with the weakest weapon by default, only changing if there are tougher enemies. If a weapon weakens it gets tossed at a bad guy, I change to a new weapon on the fly and pilfer the best items at the end of the battle.
From peoples complaints I was expecting the most intrusive system ever. It's dead easy and forces you to make best use of all the weapons you've got.
