I THINK, that I don't need to say "I THINK" at the start of each and everyone of my sentences. This is obviously a personal opinion, since I'm a person, and I'm talking for myself.

There is no #alternativefacts, a lot of people are saying the same stuffs. Maybe yours isn't wobbly, or don't have a joy con problems, but this is not a 1 or 3 % small defects, it's obviously a lot more than that. Enough that people should know that they have a good chance of facing one of those problems that won't be fixed by Nintendo.

I think that if a product has a good chance of being defective, it's a shoddy product.

Source? Cause online commenters aren't a reliable source, I could say I bought a PS4 and it exploded. Though you couldn't prove me right or wrong. I personally think it's a lot of salty individuals who are mad that the new Zelda got such high scores, because that seems to be the trend. Nintendo gets something good and then online trolls try and make everyone think otherwise. (Not calling you a troll or anything though)

What? Have you been living under a rock? The press themselves talked about joycon issues? Haven't you read any Switch reviews? This is not some isolated cases. It happens a lot.

I'm not going to repeat myself again. You can believe it or not. Go do a search or whatever.

This entire topic is a joke. There is only one issue that seems to be impacting about 5% (based on gaf users estimate) of people and that is the joycon connectivity. That will surely be fixed and knowing Nintendo, they will have some sort of replacement offer for those impacted.

Everything else mentioned is nothing. Buy a new $600 ipad and drop it, screen and other shit breaks. How is that possibly something unique to Switch?

Nearly every mobile device on the market has the power connector on the bottom. I agree it wasn't a best choice for this device considering the kickstand functionality, but its hardly worthy of defect/discussion.

Screen scratches happen. This is why people buy protectors on nearly every device they own. Pretty much an industry standard thing to do. This is being reported even far less than the joycon issue. But I would give a little bit here and say Nintendo's dock should have better inside protection from this scenario. Nothing, though that makes me feel bad about being day 1 purchase due to a cheap screen protector ($9) that mitigates the issue.

You stated the screen is plastic... then state it would crack in one light drop. I don't think I can take anything else you say seriously.

No issues at all so far. My left joycon desynced once but that's it. Hopefully it will keep going as good as it has. I never had any issue with 1st generation 360's as well, so I'm hoping I will manage well this time also :).

The durability of the Wii U didn't lead to success, so maybe a Switch in design could be the trick?

Maybe because they are common sense as you say, or that you are simply afraid of being wrong, which is normal for predictions?

nice try, but that won't work ^^ You won't bait me into it.

It doesn't feel like a toy.

And that's fine by me.

Kids can suck it, everytime Nintendo goes overboard and designs things to be too Fisher Price (the Wii U tablet, the GameCube), their sales suffer big time. Even kids don't want something too "mom approved", so if kids don't even want it, then why put their needs on such a pedestal. The system is durable enough, there's a drop test video where they dropped the thing like 10 times from 5 five onto concrete and it still worked.
