I just moved back home this year. The past two years I hardly played games but now I am reunited with my PS4. Maybe I will spend more next year but I have quite a backlog to get through first.

That's the last two year. I am going to save this so I can refer to it next year. In 2017 I plan to get Switch and Scoprio. I will be fun to see how mad I go next year.

$300 in new games perhaps over the course of the year. This doesn't include sales. I'm going to hold off on buying open world games day one (that don't have legitimate dlc) from now on. 

I think I started off slowly, not buying anything. Somewhere along the way, I lost my shit.

I bought two Xbox Ones, another PS4 (Pro), PSVR, and games on top of games on top of games. Some, I haven't even played yet. Others, I've only logged in a few minutes.

Easily over $2000 and possibly in the realm of $5000 this year. I even bought an Xbox One for my daughter--the fifth Xbox One I've purchased this generation.

Aside from a few, I've purchased mostly digital titles. I can look on PSN or Xbox Live and see exactly how much I've spent... But I don't want to.

Same happened to me. I was doing very well until October 13th...
CAD 401 on PSVR digital games + CAD 225 on physical PSVR games and CAD 1050 on hardware, 70% of my total spending.
Of that remaining 30%, I only played half of the physical games I bought. But I have played all PSVR games I've bought.

Seems you're doing your part to help XBox One sales, 5 already! How many Scorpios are you planning to buy :)
I would have bought an XBox One S if PSVR had not come out. No time for that now.

I dunno. At least one! I have an Xbox One S with Kinect in the game room, an Xbox One 1tb w/ Kinect in the living room, and one in the bedroom. Mostly due gaming but the multi-media functions really come in handy!  Plus two were gifts (one for my daughter and one for my ex's son). I love that console. At this point, it's like a modern day VCR. Every TV should have one underneath it, if you ask me.
