What I'm getting from this is that to have time to play games, you either have to have a good bit of free time, or you must schedule everything and try to juggle between different things somehow. Not a surprise in itself, but it's always seemed that the people on this site play a lot of games when in reality it seems that not a lot of people really have time to play a lot of games.

I never have time to play because I'm always on VGChartz.

I'm doing programming in school, so everything I do is assignments. Very few tests, meaning no studying really needed, and no papers/exams. I tend to have a lot of free time because of this. I shoooooould be using a lot of this free time to get better at programming, but I'm a huge procrastinator, so I end up spending that time playing games, or watching YouTube videos and TV shows.

As the title says: how? I'm personally out of time to play games most of the time because of my studies, and it's really hard to ever complete games. For the last few years, I think I've been completing at most a few games per year and playing a few others. How many games per year can you 'properly' play and what's your life situation (regarding time available to gaming)?

For the purposes of the poll, 'properly' pretty much means either completing a game or using a 'considerable' amount of time on it ('considerable' being up to you to define for the poll).

I'm married and with kid/house/job so usally Wed night from 10:30pm - 2am, and Sunday 10:30pm - 2am

Right now I am free from school and applying to colleges so am free til September 2017. Too much freedom is not all that amazing though.

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

That's kind of what a lot of my studies comprise of too... Programming can take a ridiculous amount of time sometimes!

I started almost 200 games since I got my Xbox One in August 2015. Since then I properly played 108 of them (as in more than 3 hours) and completed 84 games.

I work 39 hours a week and have a gf. Usually I have around 3 hours per day where I can play games and obviously much more than 3 hours on weekends.

Wow, a full time job, a girlfriend and yet you were able to play over 100 games? This is incredible.

For myself, a have a full time job, no girlfriend and I estimate I have played about 8-10 games "properly" since August 2015.

Generally on weekends have some time. Sunday mornings are ideal time to game for a few hours.
