I voted Soul Caliber. Shenmue....so hard to play. I can only imagine how poorly those terrible, TERRIBLE controls have aged. Sorry. Not a fan. Those controls alone.....

Well, it's best graphics, not best game. :P

Dead or alive 2
SA2
Soul calibur
Rayman 2
Shenmue

Lots of great looking games on that console.

My jaw hit the floor in 99 when a playable kiosk was at Best Buy and I got to play sonic adventure. I pre ordered the game and console right after that day.

I definitely agree DOA2, Shenmue series, and SA2.

Quake 3 was technical marvel at the time. There were also some racing sims that looked fantastic for the time.

I remember Tokyo extreme racer 1 & 2 looking amazing at 60fps. Granted the races took place at night but still. The headlights and street lights in that game looked incredible to my 17 year old mind.

Sega gt also looked decent as well as Ferrari F355 challenge.

My vote goes to Soul Calibur because it was a visually stunning launch game and actually looked much better on Dreamcast than the arcade did.

The arcade version was virtually PS1 hardware, so that ain't saying much.

The Dreamcast version seems to be a remake.

It's a shame that the Dreamcast is so hard (And expensive!) to find these days.

Never owned a console myself, but a mate of mine did... And playing Shenmue 2 was an amazing experience back then on the tiny little 14" CRT TV he had in his bedroom, so that gets my vote!

Shenmue is what I recall as the best.

My 8th gen collection

My favourite console of all time! :D I voted Soul Caliber that game impressed me so much :)

Soul Calibur, that still looks good.

Soul Calibur blew us away, stellar graphics at the time and an awesome game as well. It was the game that kept us from ever getting a PS2, the newer system seemed obsolete to us before it released when Dreamcast could do Soul Calibur. After learning that the PS2 actually sold mindblowingly while the Dreamcast failed years later, I couldn't believe more people apparently didn't think alike.

Easily Shenmue 2. It must have been amazing to play such a game when it first came out.
