My Nintendo also has an article up. It is dominating the free and paid charts right now.

Guess Nintendo's profits are going to explode here (I can't imagine it was too financially taxing to develop this compared to a real game).

First month it will get 5 million downloads.

I personally voted 10 million plus. How many downloads were there in Japan before it launched the rest of the world?

Lets wait a few weeks before thinking it is a hit. If it still around the top of the charts by the end of the month, then it is a hit but if people stop using it, then it isn't. Many games landed at the top when they launched but soon fell after a few weeks so lets see where it stays at in August.

Downloads and etc really mean nothing when it comes to F2P. Consistant userbase means everything

1) If the Nintendo one got to like 4 million in it's first month, I would imagine this one will do even better.

2) Unlike the first Nintendo one, this one is actually fun to play and to do things in. It actually feels more like a game.

3) It is #1 in revenue currently, which means people are already spending a ton of money on its shop.

Embrace the hype.

No. 1 in the top grossing charts as well! As long as they continuously update the app with more content and fix the servers/glitches I think we will see this app become fairly successful!

As expected. Nintendo has brand power/IP that's untouchable. Even though this isn't the ideal Pokemon experience, it's sure to bring in tons of downloads and sales. Congrats Pokemon Go!

Pokemon, its power and impact

Well all this means is that if it's a success they focus more one smartphones than dedicated.

Goddamnit Pokemon Company, get better servers and optimize the app. -_-

With how poorly the app runs, it shouldn't get more than a million. But it'll probably get 10M+ because it's Pokemon.
